How many times have you missed your favorite comedian come into town? We know how hard it is to keep up with current comedy tours, so we’re here with what this fall has to offer in terms of the biggest and funniest acts. New York City is the hub of the entertainment industry, comedy included. So it’s no surprise that the biggest comedy festival, brought to you by Comedy Central, takes place in NYC. The New York Comedy Festival has featured the best names in the industry, including Kathy Griffin, Louis C.K, and Kevin Hart. Here are the comedians featured in the 2014 New York Comedy Festival, which will take place November 5-9th in venues all over the city.

Tig NotaroTig Notaro: Boyish Girl Interrupted @ Town Hall 11/6

Previosly, Tig Notaro was a small circuit comedian. But after a series of unfortunate life circumstances, she decided to take a bold, frank approach to her live performances. The opening line “Hello, I have cancer”, has since then changed her life.

Hannibal BuressHannibal Buress @ Town Hall 11/7

NYC Native, Hannibal Buress hosts his own comedy show at The Knitting Factory, BK every Sunday evening. With a stand-up style that is both cerebral and full of swag,  Buress has become irresistible to the NYC comedy scene.

Dane CookDane Cook @ The Beacon Theater 11/6 & 11/7

Dane Cook has been widely popular since the early 2000’s, making his way through five full length comedy tours, and even a few movies. His style can range from casual to vulgar as he tells stories in a way that is not only relatable, but is honestly hilarious.

Amy SchumerAmy Schumer: Professional @ Carnegie Hall 11/7

Amy Schumer is the comedic voice women everywhere have been waiting for. Largely described as unapologetic, Schumer explores sex and relationships provocatively.

Maria BamfordMaria Bamford @ Town Hall 11/8

Along with being the first woman to have a two-hour special on the Comedy Central Presents series, Maria Bamford has also been named as one of the 50 Funniest People by Rolling Stone Magazine.

Chris D'EliaChris D’Elia: Under No Influence @ Town Hall 11/8

After a period of being down and out, Chris D’Elia started stand-up comedy in 2006. Since then, he has appeared on a series of TV comedies. Known for his brooding, physical humor, Chris D’Elia is currently the most sought after young comedian.

Nick OffermanNick Offerman: Full Bush @ Beacon Theater 11/8

Best known for his role as Ron Swanson on the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, Nick Offerman and his straight faced, blunt persona has become on of the funniest voices in comedy.

Bill MaherBill Maher @ Beacon Theater 11/8

Bill Maher has pushed and changed the limits to how politics and humor can go hand in hand. In the span of 20 years, Maher has written five books, written/starred/directed a hit film about Religion, and maintained a TV show that has become a critical part of our culture.

Marc MaronMarc Maron @ NYU Skirball Center 11/7

Not only is Marc Maron known for being one of the most honest and thought-provoking comedic voices to come through the industry, but he has also been named by TIME Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People.

Jessimae PelusoJessimae Peluso & Carly Aquilino @ NYU Skirball Center 11/8

Jessimae Peluso has been described as “a bottle rocket with a pulse”. And even though we’re not quite sure what that means, we know that this female comedian does not hold back when it comes to her raw, brutally honest humor.

Bill CosbyBill Cosby @ Carnegie Hall 11/8

What can be said about this comedian that hasn’t already been said? Bill Cosby is one of America’s most beloved comedians of all time, bringing a transcending sense of humor to audiences since his days on The Cosby Show.

Aziz AnsariAziz Ansari @ Madison Square Garden 10/9 (Two shows)

This Parks and Recreation star has made his way into the large comedy circuit, and now onto the Madison Square Garden stage for a show that will likely set the course for the rest of his career. His current comedy tour is titled “Modern Romance”.

Tim and EricTim and Eric & Dr. Steve Brule @ Best Buy Theater 10/11

Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, otherwise known as Tim and Eric, are leaving the confines of their strange Adult Swim TV show to embark on a highly anticipated and long overdue stand-up tour. And the best part? Steve Brule, aka John C. Reilly is going on tour with them.

Kevin JamesKevin James @ Beacon Theater 10/19

Kevin James, with an observational comedic style, has made his way into our hearts through many Adam Sandler films such as Paul Blart: Mall CopGrown Ups, and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Now, Kevin James is touring, and we can’t wait to see what this lovable comedian will bring.

Jim GaffiganJim Gaffigan @ NYCB Theater at Westbury 10/30

Jim Gaffigan is not only a comedian, but he’s an author as well. Following the release of his book Food: A Love Story, Gaffigan is going on tour. Note: Every ticket includes a signed copy of Food: A Love Story.
