Ariana Grande “Sweetener” World Tour: Setlist, Photos, and More

The “Sweetener” World Tour has finally arrived. Ariana Grande has kicked off her first tour since the release of her albums Sweetener and thank u, next. Not to mention, this is her first journey across the world’s stages since the attack in Manchester. God, so much has happened since, in both the world and specifically the pop star’s life. Leading up to the “Sweetener” World Tour, Grande showed her fans just how excited she is, to be with us, to show us everything she’s worked for. To show us she’s ready.

mmmmk …. about to embark on my third tour and am for sure deep as fuck in my feelings. and getting my period so…. this is probably gonna be too much. but i just want to say how grateful i am for my life, for the people in it, for the ups and challenges, for the laughter and the pain, for this music and for the lifelong friendships i’ve made thru making it (that includes my friendship with y’all)… maaaaaaaan… i cant really fathom all that has happened over the past few years. i don’t even really know where i’m going with this post but i’m just grateful to be here still. and excited to see you. i’m prolly gonna cry a lot. a few months ago i told my team i wasn’t even in an okay enough place to tour or work at all and my friends, you guys and this music really saved my life and turned everything around. i’m still healing but i feel a lot lighter as of late and i think this is really going to be such a beautiful time. thank god we are doing this. i can’t imagine what else i’d do and i want you to know how thankful i am…… anyway. i’m gonna go focus on finishing this show for y’all and put my phone away for a little (how much u wanna bet i don’t last a day) so i don’t ruin all the surprises. thank you. for everything. i am so deeply and eternally grateful. life is wild. but your love and this music make it feel so sweet. love u. ?

The Stage

Ariana Grande leans on her dreamy, lunar aesthetic for set design, literally capturing the moon to use as a backdrop for her soaring vocals and to reflect her bedazzled self. Check out a few perspectives of the “Sweetener” World Tour set, below.

Everything Else You Want to Know Before Attending the “Sweetener” World Tour

For those who need to bring a bag, we suggest taking Ariana Grande and her team’s advice, and going clear. Again, this is her first tour since the Manchester attacks, so the production team is veering on the side of caution. To avoid getting stuck in those long, buzz-killing bag check lines, either go bagless or stay clear.

This year, Grande’s hair clips are bedazzled. For her Dangerous Woman tour, Grande wore a signature pearl hair clip for every stop. Now, with the help of her go-to hairstylist, Josh Liu, Grande is sporting the bedazzled clips alongside her signature ponytail. Want to join in on the moment? Bedazzle yourself some bling and embrace the pre-K hair trend alongside the only person in the world who could’ve made it cool again.

You can register to vote. If you haven’t already registered for the 2020 election, Grande has thoughtfully provided booths where you can sign up and receive a dope, one-of-a-kind voting sticker. Also, whoever thought of “You like, my rights? Gee thanks, just voted” should definitely get some sort of promotion.

Save your money, buy the good merch online. We’re not quite sure what Ariana Grande’s merchandise development team was thinking with the concert offerings. Reminiscent of the 90s, but executed with KidPix, early 2000s graphic design capabilities… fans were confused as well.

Have you seen enough? Head over to Ariana Grande’s website to purchase the undeniably higher quality merch for the Sweetener and thank u, next promotional tour.

It’ll be emotional for us all. From the isolated moments of vocal divinity, to the outfit changes, the high-energy dance pop segments, and the home videos Grande chose to show she’s been getting ready for this moment her whole life, Grande and her fans are in for a wonderful experience. If you were on the fence about attending the “Sweetener” World Tour, we suggest hopping off and over to what will be one of the best concerts of the year.
