Chase Field History and Overview
The 48,519 person capacity ballpark is a welcome respite from the broiling Arizona heat. For starters, the indoor stadium is air-conditioned, which automatically qualifies any seat like a good one when it comes to Arizona in August. If that isn’t enough, engineers added one more touch that may seem a bit surreal at first but then makes perfect sense once you think about it: the aforementioned pool, located behind the wall between right and center-field. On less oppressive days, the roof opens up to complete an experience that’s as sublime as it is practical.
Chase Field Seat Numbers and Section Breakdown
As for seating arrangements, you’ll find seat 1 of any section following the section before it. For example, seat number 1 in section 128 will be closest to section 127, and seat number 1 in section 127 will closest to section 126. The closest sections to the field are the lettered suites, and suites C through Q consist of 13 rows of seats, while suites A, B, R, and S contain seven rows each.
A and B are the Third Base Boxes, while R and S are the First Base Boxes. The Bleachers, Bullpen Reserve, Baseline Reserve, Baseline Box, and the Infield Box comprise section 100, which can consist of either 20, 30 or 40 rows, depending on the section. The 200s sections include the Club Bullpen, Club Reserve, Club Box, and All You Can Eat sections (see seller notes for any listing). These areas have either 10 or 11 rows per section. The Outfield Reserve and Infield Reserve make up the uppermost level–the 300s–and contain either 32 or 40 rows of seats.
Chase Field Seating Chart – Premium Seating
The Clubhouse Box and the 1st and 3rd base boxes provide fans with access to the swanky Audi Quattro Lounge, where you can indulge in delicious food and beverage that’s a bit more upscale than your average ballpark fare. To complete Chase Field’s dedication to its guests’ comfort, the Diamond Club combines a comfy bar, lounge, and gourmet dining atmosphere with a terrific view of the game from an outfield perspective. The Picnic Pavilion is similar but is a more child-friendly section, complete with a play area and a family-oriented atmosphere.
Best Seats at Chase Field – Arizona Diamondbacks
Some seats are indeed better than others. Any of the lettered seats, for instance, offer what is arguably the best view in the house, as they surround the entire infield. In this area, the Dugout Boxes are highly prized, with the First and Third Base Boxes running a close second. The Club Boxes 208 through 213 are press box high and offer a great view at a fairly affordable price.
Among the least expensive seats in the house are the MVP Boxes in sections 310 through 322 behind home plate. It goes without saying that the First and Third Base Boxes, as well as the Baseline Box Reserve, are the best seats to get autographs, while the bleachers are best for anyone looking to catch a ball. Sections 330 through 332 and sections 300 through 302 are located in the furthest corners of the stadium. They’re also the farthest from any concession stands. However, they can be among the cheapest and offer a decent view, even for fans on a budget. Sections 145W and 100W are the Picnic Pavilion and the Miller Lite Diamond Club, respectively.
Handicapped & ADA Seating at Chase Field
For those who are confined to a wheelchair and/or those looking to attend a game at Chase Field with somebody who is, there is some important information that you’ll want to know. If you’re seeking ADA or handicapped seating, you’ll find that there are accessible rows at the top of most sections within the ballpark and spread throughout. If necessary, folding chairs will be provided with guests, such as ones looking to sit with a fan confined to a wheelchair.
One trick you can use to filter tickets that are handicapped or ADA accessible (as shown below) is by using our “Additional filters +” button on the event page that allow you to select “ADA (wheelchair accessible),” which shows all seats that the seller has marked as handicapped seating.
Parking at Chase Field
If you’re looking for parking, there’s a 1,500-car garage on 4th street, just south of the ballpark, and the garage has 31 designated accessible parking spaces. Elevators are located all throughout the ballpark for fans who need them, and they’re located across from sections 104 & 300, closest to Gate K, across from sections 116, 208 & 309, closest to gate J, across sections 127, 211 & 321, closest to Gate E, and across from sections 140, 223 & 332, closest to Gate A.
