Where are the Atlanta Falcons Tailgate Lots?

Mercedes Benz Stadium is unique in that most of the tailgating lots aren’t official to the stadium. However, they’re still popular spots for Falcons tailgating. Falcons fans can tailgate in the following tailgate lots:

  • 134 and 135 Forsyth Street
  • 305 Ted Turner
  • Blue Lot
  • City Plaza
  • Centennial Yards Lot B
  • CSX Lot
  • Dome 2
  • Family Tailgate Lot
  • Lots 17, 18, 36, 37, 43, 432, 44, 57, 6, 77
  • All letter lots except Y
  • Marshaling Yards
  • Public Mercedes-Benz Lot
  • North Gate 1
  • Ruby Lot
  • The Home Depot Backyard
  • Yellow Lot

Keep in mind that because these aren’t all official lots, there’s different rules.

The Home Depot Backyard

This is the official Atlanta Falcons tailgate. It is located just east of Northside Drive which is directly south of Mercedes Benz Stadium. It has a gorgeous view of the stadium and gets packed with Falcons fans every game day.

These rules apply to the Home Depot Backyard and not to unofficial tailgate lots. It’s important to follow Falcons tailgating rules so you won’t get kicked out and lose tailgating privileges. Below is a condensed list taken from the official Atlanta Falcons website where you can find more detailed tailgating rules.

Atlanta Falcons Tailgating Rules at Mercedes Benz Stadium

  • No trailers or oversized vehicles
  • Only propane grills
  • No glass containers
  • Tailgating ends 30 minutes after kickoff
  • All pass holders must leave two hours after the game ends
  • For evening games, pass holders must leave by midnight

Atlanta Falcons Tailgate Bars

Because Mercedes-Benz Stadium is located in Atlanta and not outside of the city, there are a lot of surrounding bars that get packed during Falcons games. Some nearby bars to watch a Falcons game at are Der Biergarten, Hudson Grille,  McCormick & Schmick’s, Park Bar, Restaurant 10, and Stats Brewpub.

However, you really can’t go wrong with any sports bar in Atlanta and the surrounding areas when a Falcons game is playing.
