Overview of Seating Levels: Orchestra, Loge & Balcony
Orchestra Section – Seat Numbers & Center vs. Sides
There are three center orchestra sections in the Beacon Theatre, and they all have good seat views for nearly all seats. If you’re looking at the Right or Left Orchestra sections, ensure your seats are as close to the center aisle as possible.
Some seats with higher numbers are marked as “partial view,” so you’ll probably want to avoid those seats. In addition, the soundboard obstructs most seats in rows S to Y (in the center orchestra section only).
Loge Seating – View Quality & Overhang Notes
When sitting in the loge, the overhang (from the lower balcony) hangs over rows C to J. Visually, this doesn’t create any problems, but if you’re a sound junkie, then you’ll hear a noticeable difference if you’re under the overhang (starting in roughly at rows D or E). It’s also good to know that the loge overhangs the orchestra sections at row O.
Balcony Seating – Price & Sightlines
The lower and upper balconies are considered one section; however, there’s a split (or some space) between them. The view from the lower terrace to the upper balcony changes significantly, but so does the price of tickets.
If you’re looking for the cheapest tickets for Beacon Theatre that aren’t obstructed, you won’t go wrong with seats on the sides of the lower or upper balcony. Even the most right or left sections have unobstructed sight lines. Note: the lower balcony overhangs the orchestra at row M.
Best Seats at Beacon Theatre – Center Orchestra & Loge Rows
We think the best seats at the Beacon Theatre for a concert are the first couple of rows of the loge or the first 10 rows of any of the center orchestra sections. The side orchestra seats can also be a great deal, depending on the number of seats.
Section | Best Rows | Pros | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Orchestra | AA–M | Center views, no obstructions | Avoid S–Y near the soundboard |
Loge | A–J | Great sightlines | Rows D+ under balcony overhang |
Balcony | A–E | Cheap & clear | Upper splits >E but still clear |
Beacon Theatre Seat Numbers
The seat numbers on the right side of the venue are all even numbers; for example, the first four seats are numbered 2, 4, 6, and 8, and so on. The same is true for the left side, except these are odd seat numbers, such as 1, 3, 5, 7, etc.
Seating at the Beacon Theatre is configured so that when ushers look at your tickets, they know which side of the venue to direct you to. Another rule of thumb is that the lower the seat number, the closer your seats are to the center of the venue. However, the seat numbers for the center sections are consecutive and not evenly divisible by 2 (101, 102, 103, etc.).
ADA Seating & Wheelchair Accessible Sections
For those who are confined to a wheelchair and/or those looking to attend an event at Beacon Theatre with somebody who is, there is some important information that you’ll want to know. If you’re seeking ADA or handicapped seating, you’ll usually find accessible rows at the top of the lower levels of the venue.
If necessary, folding chairs will be provided for guests, such as those looking to sit with a fan confined to a wheelchair. One trick to filter tickets that are handicapped or ADA accessible is to use our “Additional filters +” button on the event page. This button allows you to select “ADA (wheelchair accessible),” which shows all seats that the seller has marked as handicapped seating.
