It’s been over a year since Chance the Rapper released his Grammy award-winning mixtape Coloring Book, and fans have been eagerly awaiting new music from the prodigal rapper since. But just yesterday, Chano teased the first new song we’ve seen from him since his Christmas collaboration with Jeremih.

The vid shows Chance jamming out to a snippet of a new track, all while he rocks a colorful bucket hat. In the short clip is a sample of Soul for Real’s 1995 hit “Every Little Thing I Do”, which in itself samples The Gap Band’s “Outstanding”. You can check out the Instagram vid below:

Though this is the first new music we’ve seen from Chano in awhile, the artist has been alluding to upcoming projects for a few months now, namely his long-awaited collaboration with Donald Glover. Chance’s brother Taylor Bennett dropped a new song via SoundCloud that features his brother and The Social Experiment. “Gimme a Call” was reminiscent of styles and melodies fans heard from The Social Experiment’s album Surf, which contains one of Chance’s biggest songs “Sunday Candy”. The Bennett Brothers also combined efforts for the recently released track “Fairy Tales“. So if Chance is in fact getting ready to release music from a new album, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Taylor on the bill.

Chance hasn’t given fans a whole lot of details regarding his fourth mixtape, but in a short conversation on Twitter, he revealed that he’s done a song with John Mayer. Chance has remained busy since the popularity storm of Coloring Book, his magnificent world tour, and the Grammy awards. But in the midst of everything, it seems that Chance has made time to hit the studio.
