Chris Rock Announces Total Blackout Standup Tour

Chris Rock fans were given incredible news when the famed comedian announced from L.A’s Comedy Store that he would be putting an end to his touring hiatus. It will be the first time Chris Rock takes his material on the road in nine years. The “Total Blackout” Tour will begin this upcoming Valentine’s Day and run through the end of May. Chris Rock tickets go on sale today, December 7th, via LiveNation.

Chris Rock This news comes after Rock signed a 40 million dollar deal with Netflix to release two comedy specials, one of which will be filmed during the Total Blackout tour. Chris Rock has promised that he’ll be performing all new material on his upcoming stint, which won’t be difficult in light of the current political climate. Assuming Total Blackout is an allusion to the Oscars ceremony that Chris Rock hosted, one that had a remarkable lack of diversity, we think that this tour will have plenty of relevant material, especially during a Trump presidency. The timing really couldn’t be better.

We’re hoping that Chris Rock announces more tour dates after the first leg of the Total Blackout Tour, especially since there isn’t a date currently listed for New York City. Check out his announced tour dates below:
