Superstar singer/songwriter Elton John has announced a final farewell tour for his legion of adoring fans before retiring to spend more time with his family. This upcoming tour will be called the “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour” (a nod to his hit song “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”) which will occur over a whopping 300-plus total shows that are set to take place all over the globe.
Sir Elton has just added more dates to this illustrious tour, all of which are set to occur in the tri-state area. These new tour stops will begin on April 6th with the first of two shows at the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden in New York City, and will continue with two shows at Barclays Center in Brooklyn that same week, another show at New Jersey’s Prudential Center, and two more in Long Island at the Nassau Coliseum that will wrap it up on April 18th.
Tickets for this entire tour have been in unprecedented demand due to it being Sir Elton’s last tour of his incredible career that’s spanned more than six decades. His extremely loyal fan base always helps his shows sell out across the board, which prompts the question: when do Elton John tickets go on sale and how can you get cheap tickets?
When Do Elton John Tickets Go On Sale and What are the Presale Codes?
There is a Ticketmaster Verified Fan Presale that is currently open for registration. You’ll be required to login with your Ticketmaster account or be prompted to create an account with them during this process. If you have any questions about the Verified Fan platform, read this blog about it here.
If you’re verified, you’ll receive a text prior to the Verified Fan presale on on Tuesday, September 24th at 10 am that includes a link to purchase and a unique access code. This text would come anywhere from 2-4 hours prior to the presale at 10 am.
There are a few things to keep in mind regarding this verified fan presale registration, and those are:
- Registering does NOT guarantee that you’ll be verified, receive an access code, or that you’ll have the ability to purchase these tickets.
- There is a six (6) tickets limit MAXIMUM per purchaser per access code.
The on sale date for the general public begins on Friday, September 27th at 10 am local time. If you go this route, we recommend reading up on how to buy tickets on Ticketmaster fast.
If you’re looking to get tickets ahead of that date to get an early start on the market, you can use the following presales and codes that we’ve found below.
- Sir Elton’s Rocket Club Fanclub Presale is the first of all of the presales, and it begins on Thursday, September 19th at 8 am local time. There’s also an American Express cardholder presale that begins at at 10 am local time, which grants early access to AMEX cardholders. The presale code will be INGOLD, and you’ll need an American Express card to complete your purchase.
- The Verified Fan presale will begin on Tuesday, September 24th at 10 am local time.
We always recommend following artists and the local venue’s social media pages and signing up for their newsletters in order to get the most up-to-date information, though be aware that presales and ticket release dates may vary and are subject to change.
Are There Any Purchase Limits for Elton John Tickets?
There is an overall eight (8) ticket limit for this event. American Express has set a two-order limit for this offer. This limit applies across all Cards associated with all of your American Express accounts. If you exceed these limits, you run the risk of having your tickets or order cancelled by Ticketmaster and/or the venue.
