Flaming Lips Surprise Companion Album To Dark Side Of The Moon: Listen Here

Over the weekend, the Flaming Lips released a surprise digital-only album called Flaming Side of the Moon. As the presss release stated, it is intended to be “an immersive companion piece to the original 1973 album,” referring of course to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. The press release went on to explain, “listeners are encouraged to listen to the new LIPS album while listening to DARK SIDE at the same time” and that it “was also carefully crafted to sync up perfectly with the 1939 film, THE WIZARD OF OZ.” So we tried it out, and we have to say, it’s pretty terrifying.
