Minute Maid Park History and Overview

Minute Maid Park is located in downtown Houston Texas at 501 Crawford Street, and is home to the Houston Astros. The ballpark boasts a retractable roof, which keeps fans and players cool when Houston is experiencing it’s notoriously humid weather. The left field side of the park pays homage to the old Union Station by having a railway above the left field wall, with a train appropriately filled with oranges. The train moves whenever an Astros player hits a home run or after an Astros win. Minute Maid park has a capacity of 42,060 for Astros games.

Houston Astros Best Seats

The Best Seats for any Houston Astros game are located along the infield in section 112-126. The other field level section make for a nice alternative along the first and third baselines as well. Finally, the Crawford Boxes are a must if you want to pay to the price, since it is a view you wont get a chance to experience at most other ballparks.

Houston Astros Dugout and Bullpen

The Houston Astros Dugout is located in front of sections 122-127, and the visitors bench is located in front of sections 111-116. Minute Maid Park has one of the most unique bullpen locations in all of baseball, with the visitors bullpen located inside the left field wall, with the Astros bullpen located in right center field.

Houston Astros Premium and Club Seats

Premium Seating for Houston Astros seating is usually only available for season ticket plans, which include the Diamond Club located right behind home plate. The amenities include exclusive access to a restaurant and wait staff, but tickets are very difficult to find on the secondary market. The Club seating sections are in the 200 level, although they do not come with any amenities. There are tickets in sections 233-236 that include $15 vouchers to be used on food, drink, alcohol or merchandise. When browsing tickets in those sections make sure the ticket listing mentions the voucher, because not all tickets will come with it.

The Crawford Boxes for Houston Astros games are located in sections 100-104, and are positioned 19 feet off the field. and are one of the more unique seats for any baseball game. The short porch in left make these seats a prime place to catch a home run, which makes them one of the most expensive outfield seats in all of baseball.

Houston Astros Family Center

The Houston Astros and Minute Maid park offer an entertainment center for young children known as the Minute Maid Squeeze Play. The center is located behind section 133, so if you attending an Astros game with kids that need more than baseball to stay entertained, it would be wise to purchase tickets in this area.

Handicapped & ADA Seating at Minute Maid Park

For those who are confined to a wheelchair and/or those looking to attend a game at Minute Maid Park with somebody who is, there is some important information that you’ll want to know. If you’re seeking ADA or handicapped seating, you’ll find that there are accessible rows at the top of most sections within the ballpark and spread throughout. If necessary, folding chairs will be provided with guests, such as ones looking to sit with a fan confined to a wheelchair. One trick you can use to filter tickets that are handicapped or ADA accessible is by using our “Additional filters +” button on the event page that allow you to select “ADA (wheelchair accessible),” which shows all seats that the seller has marked as handicapped seating.
