Is Lakers Star Nick Young Hip-Hop’s Next Superstar?
Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young is one of the most strange and wonderful players in the NBA. Like a J.R. Smith or a Lou Williams, Young can light up the scoreboard in a hurry and do so with swagger (hence his Swaggy P moniker). He also has the power to shoot the Lake Show right out of the game, making the swingman the ultimate boom or bust player for L.A.
Like Forrest Gump’s box of chocolates, you truly never know what you’re going to get with Young. Apparently this penchant for surprise extends beyond the NBA hardwood.
Everyone knows about Young’s relationship with rap superstar Iggy Azalea, but if this recent video posted to Young’s InstaGram is any indication, the Lakers super-sub has some lyrical skills of his own.
The clip of Young’s…unathordox flow style comes from a recent episode of Wild N’ Out. In addition to this vocal jousting with host Nick Cannon, the Lakers guard also waxed philosophical on Azalea’s trips to the “Land Down Under.”
Young’s life off the court seems to be as intriguing as his mercurial nature on it.
