The highly anticipated, Ty Dolla $ign and Jeremih joint finally has a release date.
Earlier today (Oct. 12), the former XXL Freshman jumped onto Twitter and announced that the project, titled Mihty, will be available October 26th, via Def Jam. Mihty will include the previously released single “The Light”, in addition to their most recent offering “Going Thru Some Thangz“. You can listen to the latter track below.
Ty Dolla $ign and the Chigaco crooner first announced Mihty at the top of 2018. At the time, Dolla $ign said the project would be coming out in June, as the duo already had 60 tracks for the album.
“Next month, I’m dropping a whole other project with me and my brother, Jeremih,” the West Coast artist explained back in May. “That’s like a full-length album. I’m so excited for that one. We did it with my bro, Hitmaka. He produced the whole shit, so it’s like a consistent album of bangers.”
Mihty follows Ty Dolla $ign’s Beach House 3, which dropped last year. Jeremih’s latest release is his Chocolate Box EP from March. Last year, he teamed up with Chance the Rapper for a Re-Wrapped version of their Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama mixtape.
Ty Dolla $ign just wrapped up a tour with Lil Uzi Vert and G-Eazy last month. We think it’s possible, if not likely, that Dolla $ign will be touring with Jeremih in support of their upcoming joint Mihty. Both are having strong years, having appearances in several top-tier rap albums released this year, in addition to having two entries of their own in Spin’s Best Songs of 2018 So Far.
So check out the official word from Dolla $ign below, and keep your ears peeled for more Mihty singles, and hopefully some tour announcements, soon.
