Mary J. Blige at the Statue of Liberty | What You Need to Know
Mary J. Blige, the one and only queen of R&B, and friend of rap titan Jay-Z will be performing a Tidal-only concert on June 21st, 2015 in front of the Statue of Liberty. Tidal members can sign up for a chance to win tickets here. Tidal members who don’t win tickets can still livestream the show through the site.
The concert is another move by Jay-Z and co. to get fans of big artists using Tidal in order to gain access to exclusive content and events. Jay-Z first tried this with his “B-Side” concert at Terminal 5 in NYC, and while the show made headlines and certainly won Tidal some publicity, the full performance was up on YouTube the very next day, and a month later still hasn’t been taken down:
My expectations are that fans of Mary J. Blige can expect the same thing. Nevertheless, if you already have a Tidal account, getting to see the R&B legend perform live in front of the Statue of Liberty would be an amazing experience.
