7/1 UPDATE

The MLB has just announced that due to COVID-19, the Yankees will no longer participate in this contest in Iowa, citing travel concerns. In their stead will be the St. Louis Cardinals, who are not scheduled to face the White Sox in this special game. There is no guarantee at this time whether or not fans will be allowed to attend. We’ll be sure to post more information here as it comes out.

The 2020 Field of Dreams series is one of most innovative ideas that Major League Baseball has ever had. A game set in Dyersville, Iowa will pit the St. Louis Cardinals — one of the the game’s crown jewel franchises who play in the midwest — against the Chicago White Sox — who play in the heart of the Iowa market and are a callback to the 1919 Black Sox — in what will be one of the most highly sought-after tickets for any MLB game ever.

This game will be played on Thursday, August 13th, and will take place at a temporary 8,000-seat ballpark that will be located at the famed site of the 1989 classic flick, Field of Dreams, starring Kevin Costner. For comparison’s sake, Chicago’s Guaranteed Rate Field, home of the White Sox, has a capacity of 40,615, which they expect to sellout for the other two games of this three-game set at their home park.

With such a great demand for tickets to make it to this bucket list event, but with so few seats available, it begs the question: when do MLB at Field of Dreams tickets go on sale and how can you get cheap tickets?

When Do MLB at Field of Dreams Tickets Go On Sale and What are the Presale Codes?
