New Pop Albums We Want to Hear in 2025

June 27, 2025 by

Last year was a huge one for new pop releases. Fans heard Billie Eilish’s BIRDS OF A FEATHER, Halsey’s Impersonator, Charli XCX’s BRAT, only to name a few. There were some incendiary singles as well, such as Tinashe’s “Nasty” and Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!” We’ve truly had incredible new pop music to listen to all year long.

Not only were we blessed with some of the best pop albums of the decade, these artists brought some of the most epic tours around the globe. Charli XCX and Troye Sivan’s “SWEAT” Tour may go down as one of the biggest concert tours in this era of pop music. Even those who didn’t attend had their own versions of a “brat summer.” For so many listeners around the world, this moment belongs to pop.

Who will release new pop music in 2025? Olivia Rodrigo. Maroon 5. Chappell Roan. Just to name a few. In other words, we think 2025 could be just as big as 2024.

Here, fans will find 10 new pop albums we want to hear in 2025 and the artists we hope to go on tour next year as well.

Lorde

Lorde’s hotly anticipated fourth studio album, the follow-up to 021’s Solar Power, has finally arrived after being teased for some years now. Virgin, led by the single “What Was That,” is a pop-EDM offering from the wizened star. She had already announced the “Ultrasound” World Tour, which is set to begin on September 17.

  • Lorde previously described her albums through mood-altering substances (Pure Heroine being the alcohol record, Melodrama being the Molly album, etc). But the lyrical acumen and self-awareness in Virgin signals a new relationship to substances all together. We wouldn’t call this a “sober” album, but the references to ego-death prevail.
  • Virgin is Lorde’s shortest LP to date, clocking in just under 35 minutes.

Sabrina Carpenter

Pop superstar Sabrina Carpenter will quickly follow up last year’s Grammy award-winning album with another fresh release this summer. The new LP, Man’s Best Friend, has been led by the whip-smart and hook-contagious single “Manchild.” The highly listenable (and hilarious) “Manchild” signals another playful and unfiltered pop release from Carpenter.

Reneé Rapp

Famed actress and singer Reneé Rapp is gearing up to release her sophomore album, BITE ME. After winning over audiences nationwide with her performance of Regina George in Mean Girls: The Musical, Reneé Rapp has been one of the biggest presences in pop music. From being the official WorldPride ambassador in D.C, to debuting her single “Mad” on the TODAY show, Reneé Rapp is without a doubt seizing this moment.

  • Reneé Rapp’s new album BITE ME is due out Aug. 1. It’s been led by the singles “Leave Me Alone” and “Mad.”
  • Reneé Rapp has already announced the 2025 “BITE ME” tour. Find more info about Reneé Rapp’s headlining tour here.

Maroon 5

Adam Levine and the rest of Maroon 5 have confirmed a new record, their first since 2021’s Overexposed, is coming out this year. The new album, Love Is Like, will receive the support of a full headlining concert tour scheduled for the fall. We can’t wait for more Maroon 5 singles to arrive all summer long.

  • Love Is Like will arrive on Aug. 15 via Interscope Records.
  • The new Maroon 5 album has been led by the single “All Night,” which received full music video treatment today (June 27).
  • Levine said in a statement, “I feel like we’ve gone back to what we used to do, which is to not pay attention to where we fit and producing the music organically,” and further added, “This is kind of how we stuck out in the beginning when we first started our career.” It is not just Levine but the fans of Maroon 5 also feel nostalgic in the same way.

Olivia Rodrigo

It’s been two years since Olivia Rodrigo dropped her sophomore album, GUTS. Before GUTS, it had been two years since her debut record SOUR. If Olivia follows her own album recording timetable, we can only assume that Olivia Rodrigo’s third album will arrive sometime in 2025.

  • According to an interview with Deadline, Rodrigo spoke about feeling more confident than ever and having worked through some of the kinks of fame. We are counting on new music from Olivia Rodrigo in 2025. At the very least, fans will definitely be getting a few new singles.

Carly Rae Jepsen

At the beginning of this year, back in February, Carly Rae Jepsen teased new music in a TikTok video. Her last album, The Loveliest Time, came out July 28, 2023, less than a year away from 2022’s The Loneliest Time. We can’t believe how much Carly Rae Jepsen has in her arsenal and that she’s already gearing up for another album release.

  • In a July 2023 interview, Carly Rae Jepsen opened up about what fans can look forward to hearing on her next LP.  She stated to be writing folk music with her boyfriend Cole M.G.N. “We bought a guitar in New York for $500. We got it at the last minute because we had a song idea that night. We’ve been trying folky songs again, and because we both really love jazz, it was a hint of a jazz-folk.”

Lana Del Rey

The last Lana Del Rey album was 2023’s Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. This dazzling LP brought us singles such as “A&W,” “Candy Necklace,” “Paris, Texas,” and “Let The Light In.” What’s more, Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel ushered in a new wave of appreciation for Lana Del Rey’s ever-evolving scope of recording music. There is no telling where this singer is going next and this is an understated quality of what makes her persona so exciting.

  • Famed producer Jack Antonoff has been trailing Lana Del Rey as she stops in at recording studios all over the south, including the one and only Muscle Shoals. While we still don’t have an album release date, we are confident Lana Del Rey’s tenth studio album is coming next year.

Bruno Mars

Can you believe it’s almost been eight years since Bruno Mars released his platinum selling album 24k Magic? The time has flown, largely because we still received plenty of Bruno Mars music between then and now. Namely, Bruno Mars partnered with the R&B singer and percussion extraordinaire, Anderson .Paak, to form the soulful duo Silk Sonic.

  • Now, after a couple of Silk Sonic albums and touring as a groovy unity, Bruno Mars seems to be returning to his solo work. Not only are there rumors saying Bruno Mars is getting ready to release a new album in 2025. There are talks of an epic concert tour, in partnership with Live Nation, as well. Fans, get ready. Bruno Mars is coming back next year in a big way.
  • Bruno Mars will be performing in Las Vegas, at Dolby Live at Park MGM, through the end of the year. You can find plenty of Bruno Mars concert tickets here.

Chappell Roan

The “Midwest Princess” has already dropped two new singles from her sophomore record: “Good Luck, Babe!” and the live debut of “The Giver.” It’s likely we’ll receive Chappell Roan’s second album next year, and we can’t wait. Chappell Roan’s specific, whole-hearted brand of pop music has fans swooning over just about everything she releases. We are hoping for some more new Chappell Roan singles before the year’s end, as well.

  • Chappell Roan released her debut record in September 2023. According to her Rolling Stone cover story, Chappell Roan will be taking a break from touring to record her new album from November through May 2025. You can find out more about Chappell Roan’s possible 2025 tour here.

Gracie Abrams

Gracie Abrams only released her sophomore album, The Secret of Us, last year. But according to news sources, she’s already working on her third. Not to mention, she stated the new album could arrive before the end of this year. Gracie Abrams continues to tour in support of The Secret of Us and will stay on the road through the rest of the summer. We’re hoping to hear some new singles debuted along the way.

  • Gracie Abrams has stated an admiration for Taylor Swift’s method of releasing albums. Abrams said in an interview, “I am inspired by Taylor in a million ways, but especially by the pace with which she puts things out into the world. There’s less pressure the more you release — that’s how I consider it for myself. I want to just keep it coming while I’m in this period of writing as frequently as I am. I think it would be a waste to not be open.”
