RingCentral Coliseum History and Overview

RingCentral Coliseum, formerly known as Oakland Coliseum, is a current baseball stadium for the MLB’s Oakland Athletics and was formerly a multi-purpose stadium in Oakland, California. It was the last multi-purpose stadium left before the Oakland Raiders left after the 2019 NFL season for Las Vegas. The Coliseum features an underground design, with the playing surface below sea level. This, combined with the hill that was built around the stadium to create the upper concourse, makes only the upper deck visible from outside the stadium. RingCentral Coliseum has a capacity of 35,067 for Oakland Athletics games.

Best Seats for Oakland Athletics Games

The best seats for any Oakland Athletics game are in the premium seating areas, or the MVP infield seats, which are much more affordable. Since RingCentral Coliseum is a multi-purpose venue, the seats surrounding the infield are farther back than many other ballparks. This is very important to keep in mind when selecting seats, as the upper level seats are more off the field than you may be used to. Our seat view on the above interactive seating chart should give you a good idea of how far off the field you will be in each section.

Premium Seating for Oakland Athletics Games

The Oakland Athletics offer a few premium seating options at the Coliseum. The Diamond Level seats are located directly behind home plate in the first 5 rows, and include amenities such as complimentary wife, private parking, in seat service with complimentary food, two complimentary alcoholic beverages, and access to your seats by walking down the visiting teams tunnel.

The Field Box seats are located just beyond the team dugouts on the field of play. There are only two rows of seats, and the amenities include in seat service with $10 dollars of value included with the ticket.

Oakland Athletics Seats in the Shade

If you are looking to sit in the shade at the Coliseum, you want seek out seats in sections 213-221 behind home plate, or in rows 20 and above in sections 113-120. You want to avoid all outfield seats if you want to stay out of the sun, as these are some of the hottest seats at RingCentral Coliseum.

Oakland Athletics Bullpen and Dugout Location

The Oakland Athletics dugout is located in front of sections 120-122, and the visitors dugout is located in front of sections 112-144. The Oakland A’s bullpen is located in front section 127 (on the field), and the visitors bullpen is located in front of section 107 (on the field).

RingCentral Coliseum Reviews

Yes, the Coliseum is clearly aging when compared to many other baseball and football stadiums these days, but it still gets the job done. It’s the only dual-purpose baseball-football venue left in America. Most of the year it’s used for the A’s, but can also be converted into seating for the Raiders. This means that a gigantic tier of seating that was built for the Raiders sits mostly empty and tarped off for A’s games, which is rather sad. You’d think that the A’s would want to boost attendance and sell tickets on the cheap (say, even $2-5 each if it covered their marginal costs) just to get more fans into the stadium cheering on the home team and buying food and drink.” – via Yelp

These are the friendliest people working at this coliseum. Everyone there was exceptionally awesome. From the security people at the entrances to the people working at the different food and beverage vendors. Just a great experience! Every seat looked like a great view. I think it’s amazing that this is the last coliseum that switches from baseball to football. I’m glad I got to experience a game here even though the A’s aren’t doing well this year.” – via Tripadvisor

For those who are confined to a wheelchair and/or those looking to attend a game at RingCentral Coliseum with somebody who is, there is some important information that you’ll want to know.
