Citizens Bank Park History and Overview

Citizens Bank Park is located in South Philadelphia and is the home of the Philadelphia Phillies. More commonly known as “The Bank” or “CBP”, the park opened for the 2004 season, replacing the old Veterans Stadium.

The ballpark is located in the northeast corner of the Sports Complex, near Lincoln Financial Field, the Wells Fargo Center, and Xfinity Live. Citizens Bank Park has a seating capacity of 43,651 for Phillies games.

Citizens Bank Park Seat Numbers

The Citizens Bank Park seating chart with seat numbers indicates that seat 1 is typically located closer to the lower-numbered adjacent section. For example, seat 1 in section 135 would be closest to the highest numbered seat in section 134.

Typically, the best seats are closer to the home plate. Going by that logic, if you’re on the left-field line, you’d want a seat with a lower seat number, and on the right-field line, you’d look for a higher seat number. (So remember, don’t think of seat and row numbers as the same thing.)

Philadelphia Phillies Best Seats

The best seats for a Philadelphia Phillies game, or any baseball game, are located behind the plate and around in the infield in the lower level sections. Ideally, you want to sit in Sections A-G (Diamond Club), but any other section in the infield is still a great option.

If you are looking for a great time with some friends, the bleachers are where the party is at. Otherwise, even the upper-level infield sections will provide great sight lines, and most Phillies fans will tell you there isn’t a bad seat in the house at Citizens Bank Park.

Philadelphia Phillies Premium Seating

The Philadelphia Phillies’ premium seating includes the Diamond Club in Sections A-G. Amenities for this section vary based on the row you are in. If you are in the first three rows, your ticket is all-inclusive (food and drink). If your ticket falls in rows 5-9, it comes with a $30 credit; if it falls in rows 10-19, it does not include amenities.

The Hall of Fame seats are located in sections 212-232 at Citizens Bank Park. These seats do not include amenities; however, the concourse on this level is enclosed and climate-controlled, which is ideal on hot summer days. Highlight the sections on the above interactive map to see the view from the Hall of Fame sections.

Philadelphia Phillies Standing Room Only (SRO) Seating

If you’re wondering what standing-room-only seating is, it’s basically what it sounds like. Phillies SRO tickets get you into the ballpark, but do not entitle fans to a specific seat at Citizens Bank Ballpark. SRO tickets are usually only available for bigger games, such as those the team knows will sell out, like playoff games or the Phillies’ World Series games.

If you’re wondering where you can view the game with Phillies SRO tickets, there are plenty of areas at the top of sections that you can stand, or one of the more popular general standing areas is in the left-center field near the left field scoreboard. It’s important to know that all of these general areas throughout the ballpark are first-come, first-served, so if you want a good spot with a clearer view up towards the front, you’ll want to get there early to claim a spot.

Philadelphia Phillies Family Seating

The Philadelphia Phillies offer a variety of activities for children and families in addition to watching Phillies baseball. The Phanatic Phun Zone is near the first base gate, allowing children 8 and under to climb around in a giant soft play area.

The Phanatic Phood stand, located in Ashburn Alley (behind section 318), offers portions and options that are just the right size for kids.

Philadelphia Phillies Bleacher Seating

The bleacher seats are the place for the fans looking to get rowdy with the rest of the Philly faithful. Fans in these seats frequently tailgate before games and are among the more colorful fans at Citizens Bank Park. For the price of these seats, you’re guaranteed a good time with good views.

Philadelphia Phillies Seats in the Shade

Stick to seats on the third baseline side if you want to stay out of the sun at the Philadelphia Phillies game. Additionally, the last few rows in each section may fall under the overhang of the sections above; however, each section varies, so this is something to be aware of.

Philadelphia Phillies Dugout and Bullpen

The Philadelphia Phillies’ dugout is in front of sections 115-118, and the visitors’ dugout is in front of sections 129-132. The Phillies and Visitors’ bullpen is located to the left of sections 101 and 201.

Covered Seating at Citizens Bank Park

Looking for a shady area for a Philadelphia Phillies home game? This section is for you.

Shaded seats change depending on the time of day. You can generally find covered seating at Citizens Bank Park around the third base side of the field. The Hall of Fame Club sections 225-232 are the best seats for shade. However, you’ll likely still get some sun until the third inning.

For those on a budget who want to ensure they’re in the shade, sections 423-434 are fully shaded in rows 6 and higher.

ADA Seating at Citizens Bank Park

For those who are wheelchair users and/or those looking to attend a game at Citizens Bank Park with somebody who is, there is some important information that you’ll want to know. If you’re seeking ADA seating, you’ll find accessible rows at the top of most sections throughout the venue.

If necessary, folding chairs will be provided for guests, such as those who wish to sit with a fan while using a wheelchair. One trick you can use to filter tickets that are ADA accessible is to use our “Additional filters +” button on the event page, which allows you to select “ADA (wheelchair accessible). ” This shows all seats that the seller has marked as accessible seating.
