Sara Bareilles 2013 Tour Dates | From “Love Song” to “Brave”
From Little Voice to The Blessed Unrest, Sara Bareilles continues to be one of the best female vocalists of this generation
This fall, Grammy nominated Sara Bareilles will continue touring with OneRepublic, hitting some of the most amazing stages in the country such as Radio City Music Hall, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Boulder, CO. Bareilles has come a long way since her hit single, “Love Song” topping the charts in 2007. Sara Bareilles tickets for her fall 2013 tour are still available for purchase.
In 2008, Bareilles released an album of her live performance at the legendary Fillmore Theater (Listen to Bareilles perform “Love on the Rocks”) in San Francisco. On this album, Bareilles revealed herself as a fresh, bluesy force that captivated audiences in ways alike to John Mayer, Michael Buble, and Norah Jones. With such a strong hand on the piano, and a smooth, confident voice to match, Bareilles transformed from pop star, to being seen as a female vocalist who can hold her own in the rock/alternative/blues world. From this album, her sound continued to grow and listeners knew this breakthrough artist was just getting started.
B
areilles, in her album titled Kaleidoscope Heart (2010), caught listeners attention by way of a quirky, inventive sound. The single “King of Anything” was resonant of Bareilles’ bold, independent voice. In this album she continued to assert her right to happiness, as well as climb the ranks of popularity and achieve further respect as a talented, female vocalist. Now, three years later with the release of The Blessed Unrest (2013), Bareilles is giving fans a portion of everything we love about her: Sincerity, Soulfulness, and Sass. The first single from the album titled “Brave” resembles the upbeat rhythms and empowering lyrics of her first single. As the album progresses, Bareilles lulls us with songs of love and longing, such as “Manhattan” and “Satellite Call”, where she breaks our hearts and “makes a call for the lonely.” In this album, Bareilles delivers a part of her musical personality which listeners haven’t seen much of before. Tracks such as “1000 Times”, “Cassiopeia”, and “Islands” portray an abstract element in Bareilles’ lyricism. Though the songs still echo the lovesick and self-discovery themes which underlie most of her work, they are taken to a new level of maturation that only comes with time, experience, and bravery. The Blessed Unrest is a beautiful accomplishment worth seeing live. And as we know from her groundbreaking Fillmore performance, you don’t want to miss this starlet break hearts and take names on stage.
