St. Vincent Announces ‘Fear the Future’ Tour

It’s been nearly three years since singer/songwriter Annie Clark—better known as St. Vincent—released her self-titled masterpiece, an indie rock album that reached critical acclaim. Since, we’ve seen Annie Clark perform at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremonies, star on the cover of Guitar World, write, direct, and score her own movie, and even serve as Record Store Day ambassador this past April.

Though we’ve enjoyed watching Annie Clark’s claim to fame, St. Vincent fans have been antsy for a follow-up to her edgy, indie-tronic rock album. At the end of last year, Annie Clark confirmed that there will be a new album dropping in 2017. But there has yet to be any word as to when the album drops, as it’s now past the Spring deadline she gave fans a few months ago.

St. Vincent took to Variety to discuss her upcoming project and process. “Based on the amount of material I have, I could have put out three records by now,” she said. “But I needed this one, especially with where we are in the world, to be the best thing that I’ve ever done by leaps and bounds. And that takes time. That’s something I’ve never really given myself, but it was nice. Now I’m ready to get back in the ring.” Though we still don’t have an official album release date from the rock artist, St. Vincent, she released a quirky trailer for her upcoming “Fear the Future” Tour. Check it out below.

General on-sale for St. Vincent’s “Fear the Future” Tour begins Friday, June 30th.
