The Rooftop at Pier 17 | Seating Chart Information and More

New York City will be adding yet another entertainment destination (as if they needed any more great options) in the brand new Rooftop at Pier 17 in the Seaport District.  This 1.5-acre rooftop will have a beautiful backdrop of the Brooklyn Bridge and allows for excellent views of both the Manhattan Skyline and Statue of Liberty.

The Rooftop at Pier 17 Capacity

The announced capacity of this new venue is that it can fit either 3,400 people standing or 2,400 seated, and the seating configuration will depend on the type of event that night.  See below for the configuration for when it’s broken up into theatre-like sections, with the 200-section serving as the “center orchestra,” and the 100 and 300 sections serving as the left and right orchestra, for all intents and purposes.  There will be a large aisle in between the 200-section on either side of it to allow fans to move freely and easily.

Seat Numbers at Pier 17 Rooftop

While it hasn’t been made official, as the venue hasn’t yet released a more detailed event map than the one above, seat numbers within a row almost always follow a pattern where the lowest-numbered seat (usually seat 1) is on the aisle adjacent to the lower-numbered section next to it.  For example, seat 1 in a row within section 200 would be closest to section 100 (the lower section next to it).  Conversely, the highest-numbered seat at the end of a row would be closer to the higher-numbered section next to it.  If seat 27 were on the aisle in section 200, it would be next to section 300.
