Tyler, the Creator Plots Flower Boy Tour and Drops “ZIPLOC”

On July 21st, Odd Future leader Tyler, the Creator dropped his highly anticipated album Flower Boy, which featured incredible collaborations with Frank Ocean, A$AP Rocky, Lil Wayne, and Jaden Smith. The album was met with critical acclaim and has been vetted as one of the best rap albums to drop this year (so far).

Hot off the release of Flower Boy, Tyler, the Creator has blessed fans with several surprises, one of them being a new track titled “ZIPLOC“. The track is a freestyle over JAY-Z’s “4:44.” On the track, Tyler alludes to the tight charts race when he, Lana Del Rey, and Meek Mill all released albums on the same day. This is Tyler, the Creator’s first freestyle release since he dropped a verse over Kanye’s “Freestyle 4” last year. You can listen to “ZIPLOC” below:

The other exciting news for Tyler, the Creator fans is the announcement of the Flower Boy Tour, kicking off October 31st in San Francisco—two days after the rapper concludes his sixth annual Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival—and concluding November 22nd in Dallas. Pre-sale tickets will be available exclusively via the Golf Media app on Thursday, August 24th at 10 A.M, with general tickets on sale Friday, the 25th at 10 A.M. So far, we’ve seen little promotion of Flower Boy, besides his “Soul Train” inspired performance of “9/11” on Colbert, which makes news of the “Flower Boy” Tour even more exciting. We’re hoping Tyler, the Creator’s upcoming concerts will retain the groovy, feel-good vibes he showcased on Colbert and that he may bring out any of the incredible guests featured on Flower Boy. Check out Tyler, the Creator’s single Late Night TV performance of 2017 below.
