The Social
Colorado-based EDM trio Savoy started off as a regular rock band, but decided to expand their sound into something bigger, and thus gravitated toward adding more electronic production to their music, eventually fully transforming their sound into EDM. Although they primarily focus on dance music now, the band still maintains their rock edge, preferring more melodic sounds over the typical harsh and aggressive style of most EDM.

They have two diamond-certified albums, with their 1983 record Pyromania and its 1987 follow-up Hysteria selling over 10 million copies each. Dustin Lynch
December 3, 2015
HOB Orlando
After joining Luke Bryan on his tour last summer, Dustin Lynch was granted his incredibly influential nod of approval. With Bryan stating that Lynch reminds him of everything he was when he was his age, fans and critics alike are very eager to witness the similarities themselves. Currently, Dustin Lynch is making stops along his “One Hell of a Night” Tour, which includes a night at HOB. Besides his obvious talent and charismatic performances, another reason to see Dustin Lynch live this month at HOB is “Wheel of Karaoke”, where Lynch promises to cover any artist which the wheel lands on, ranging from fellow country singers to Beyonce.
The Academy Is…
December 4, 2015
HOB Orlando
We’ve seen a lot of punk/alt-rock bands embark on 10th anniversary tours this year, and its no surprise why, as 2005 was a great year for pop-punk releases. So, in continuation of the nostalgia, The Academy Is… will be touring their acclaimed debut record, Almost Here. The William Beckett fronted, Fall Out Boy supported band will be touring all of December, which, lucky for punk fans, will include a stopover at HOB Orlando. So dig up those old band tees and your liquid eyeliner, because it’s about to get angsty with The Academy Is on their 10 Year Anniversary tour.

Mac will be on the road for more than two months along with promising up-and-comers Tory Lanez and Goldlink spreading the future of hip-hop to the masses.
Kansas
December 5, 2015
Plaza Theatre
Midst the growing popularity of Brit-rock and Classic rock, Kansas hailed in influences from the heartland. Though often dismissed by critics, the country/bluegrass inspired rock band produced several hit singles which remain on radio waves today, including “Carry On My Wayward Son” and “Dust in the Wind”. Though the band won’t be touring in its entirety, lead singer Richard Williams and drummer Phil Ehart will be carrying forward with their 90 date tour through North America. With a renewed vigor, Kansas is ready to give it everything they’ve got.
Copeland
December 6, 2015
The Social
Last year, Copeland reunited after six years of silence in order to make, produce, and release Ixora, their fifth studio album. Copeland got their start in the early 2000’s by releasing a highly evocative and somber album, Beneath the Medicine Tree, personal to a band member’s own experience with dealing with deaths in his family. Then, in changing lanes entirely, Copeland released In Motion, an album dedicated to making people move. Now, Copeland’s return to the indie music scene through Ixora has been lauded as their most mature effort yet, hopefully propelling Copeland back into the indie music limelight.
Andy McKee
December 6, 2015
Plaza LIVE
Known widely as one of the leading contemporary guitar maestros in the classical guitar world, Andy McKee has made his living and fame based on the perfection of his playing. Andy McKee’s playing has served as a model for thousands of aspiring musicians, his technique near flawless, ranking among other greats such a Antoine DuFour and Tommy Emmanuel. But don’t think that Andy McKee is just a musician for other musicians, his playing is highly entertaining for anyone lucky enough to see him.
Glass Animals
December 6, 2015
The Beacham
Oxford-based Glass Animals have continued to impress the indie music industry since their debut back in 2012, before any of the band members finished their terms at university. Glass Animals, led by vocalist and songwriter David Bayley, spreads their sound between electronic music and live instrumentation, making their live performances full of unexpected elements. Most of their music is downbeat, relying more on the power of slow-burning grooves and electro-pop catchiness. Though it won’t be a very rowdy show, the musical prowess is definitely there. The band hasn’t released a record since, but we’re hoping a new EP comes soon.
Orlando Philharmonic
December 7, 2015
Dr. Phillips Center
The Orlando Philharmonic is quite a busy ensemble this month, and to start off the season is a concert dedicated to the revered and brilliant Sebastian Bach. The concert will be centered upon two soloists, the orchestra providing support for both Violin Concerto and Harpsichord Concertos. The Orlando Philharmonic is known to be one of the best ensembles in the country, so if you’re looking to attend a classical music performance this month, you can’t go wrong with the group’s homage to Bach.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas: The Musical

Originally conceived by Tony award-winning director Jack O’ Brien, Dr. Seuss’s tale of the Grinch who Stole Christmas has truly been brought to life through the musical medium. The whimsical village of Whoville is wonderfully realized through the set design, production, and musical numbers, all which contribute to the heart-warming moral nestled within the story. “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” features all of your favorite hit singles from the film, including “You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas”. So if you’re looking to attend a family friendly event with a large dose of laughter and holiday spirit, we think you’re in good hands with the Grinch and co.

Silverstein and Senses Fail
December 8, 2015
The Beacham
Though we are no longer in the heyday of punk/grunge rock being in the mainstream, there are several bands from that peculiar, angsty time who are still touring. Currently, Silverstein and Senses Fail are touring together, with support from Capsize and Hundredth. Both bands released new material this year, and are playing in support of their recent efforts. To please the fans which have been longstanding, both bands have used this tour to sample new material, but to also dip heavily from their earlier discography. Senses Fail fans appreciated how much the band dipped into 2004’s Let It Enfold You, performing it with the same charisma which won appreciation back in the day. Silverstein and Senses Fail is a great show to attend if you’re looking to rock out with some guys who really love to rock out.
A John Waters Christmas
December 8, 2015
Plaza Theatre
Actor/Filmmaker John Waters is currently on tour for his acclaimed one man holiday show, known for being entertaining and full of mischief. Waters has been known to poke fun at several hot topics. His “adult-appropriate” jokes put the X back in X-mas, so if you consider yourself liberal, left-leaning, and open minded, then you’ll love Waters’ spit-fire monologues and off-beat approaches to solving holiday disasters.

Despite recent cancellations, Luis Miguel will uphold his scheduled performance date this month at Amway Center. The 45-year-old Latin crooner is known for his incredible vocal performances, and for bringing romance back into the classic standards. Luis Miguel began his career at the tender age of eleven and won his first Grammy Award by age fourteen. His fame didn’t stop there, and now he’s sold millions of records worldwide and is regarded as one of the most prominent figures in Latin American music. We hope Luis Miguel continues to perform and take care of himself, especially with a rumored joint tour with Alejandro Fernandez on the horizon.

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is known for blowing audiences away, which makes this concert a must-see for the season. Not to mention, the ‘Wizards of Winter” is a great event to attend with the whole family.Fans will have two chances to see them, as they’ll be playing two shows at the Amway Center on Saturday, December 12.

HOB Orlando
Where can you find Shaggy, Walk the Moon, and Tori Kelly performing under the same roof? Well, this diverse and random line-up is brought to you by XL 106.7, Orlando’s premier hit radio station. Back by popular demand, the Orlando Ballet will be capping off their season with The Nutcracker, a show that has been appreciated by millions of people. Even though ballet and classical music events are rarely good ideas for a younger audience, the songs and scenes from The Nutcracker have become such recognizable staples in American culture, that just about every kid will enjoy the classics being brought back to life in front of them.
