Last month, the sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim dropped a new single, “Now I’m In It.” The song, though personal and containing dark matter, is fashionably wrapped up in typical Haim playfulness. In discussing the new single, Este Haim elaborated to Rolling Stone:
“Even when we’re writing about something dark or more serious, we like to tie it up in a bow so that there’s a bit of lightness to it. We want our music, and this song especially, to be the thing that helps you get through that rough time.”
The new single was accompanied by a music video directed by Paul Thomas Anderson who, since the sisters found out he was a former student of their art teacher mother in Los Angeles, has directed numerous projects for the band. You can check out the stunning new music video for “Now I’m In It,” below.
“Now I’m In It” is the second single Haim has dropped in 2019, the first being the buoyant “Summer Girl” which was the first new music since 2017’s Something To tell You. These two songs have found their homes in the world and are already beloved by Haim fans. And even if they have yet to make the announcement, we think a new Haim album is on the way.
If Haim is getting ready to release a new album, which we firmly believe they are, fans ought to start pondering the possibility of a Haim Tour in 2020. So far, the band only has one performance scheduled for 2020, the increasingly popular Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival. The premier Sunshine Grove event will take place March 5-8, 2020. Haim will perform on Saturday, beneath headliners Vampire Weekend.
Will Haim Tour in 2020? Yes, but perhaps not until the Summer or next Fall. In the past, Haim has begun their promotional tours around 11 months after the release of the album’s first single. In 2017, Haim dropped the Something To Tell You lead single “Want You Back” in May. Then, in April 2018, Haim launched their second headlining stint
—the Sister Sister Sister Tour.
Check back for more updates, as you don’t want to miss out on the sisters Haim as they tour their forthcoming album in 2020.
