Will Sam Smith Tour ‘Gloria’ in 2023?

November 13, 2022 by

Last week (Nov. 10) Sam Smith revealed the full track list for their new upcoming album Gloria. Smith’s fourth record comes after 2020’s Love Goes. In April of this year, Sam Smith released “Love Me More”—the first single off their new album.

Then in September came the second and now lead single “Unholy” featuring Kim Petras. Reaching No. 1 in both the UK and U.S, “Unholy” has become Sam Smith’s most chart-topping single. We think this bodes very well for the forthcoming Gloria.

Gloria, Everything We Know

Gloria will arrive January 27, 2023 via Capitol Records. According to Rolling Stone, for Smith, the new record “feels like a coming of age.” In their press release, they referred to Gloria as their “boldest statement yet.” Smith described the album as an “emotional, sexual and spiritual liberation” and in making it has found a new sense of freedom.

“Oddly, it feels like my first-ever record,” they said. In an Instagram post announcing the album, they went into even more heartfelt detail.

Gloria has been led by the singles “Love Me More” and “Unholy.” The full track list for Sam Smith’s fourth album came out just weeks after the artist celebrated their first No. 1 hit. Gloria, with its many special guests, already signals a triumph. You can check out the full track list to Sam Smith’s upcoming album, below.

Gloria Track List:

1. “Love Me More”

2. “No God”

3. “Hurting Interlude”

4. “Lose You”

5. “Perfect” feat. Jessie Reyez

6. “Unholy” feat. Kim Petras

7. “How to Cry”

8. “Six Shots”

9. “Gimme” feat. Koffee & Jessie Reyez

10. “Dorothy’s Interlude”

11. “I’m Not Here To Make Friends”

12. “Gloria”

13. “Who We Love” feat. Ed Sheeran

Gloria will feature Koffee, Jessie Reyez on two tracks, and Ed Sheeran on the last song of the album. And, of course, Kim Petras. It isn’t their first time working with Jessie Reyez, who collaborated with Smith on Calvin Harris’ “Promises.” But it will be the first time Sam Smith is heard on a track with Ed Sheeran. We can’t wait to hear what they cooked up in the studio together.

Sam Smith Announces “Gloria” Tour

It’s been over four years since Sam Smith went on tour. The last Sam Smith went on a headlining world tour was 2018’s “Thrill of It All” Tour. Sam Smith’s last album The Thrill of It All arrived on November 3, 2017. A month earlier, Smith announced “The Thrill of It All Tour” alongside the release of the promotional single “Pray.”

“The Thrill of It All Tour” began March 20, 2018 and concluded April 18, 2019. Sam Smith’s second world tour culminated in 94 shows and the sale of just over 1 million tickets.

So far, Gloria is scheduled to receive tour treatment in the UK, Ireland, and Europe. The “Gloria” Tour will bring Sam Smith to the UK and Ireland from April 12 through April 25 2023. Then, Smith will head to Europe from April 29 through May 12. Finally, Smith will end their “Gloria” Tour in Manchester on May 24th.

Could Sam Smith tour the U.S shortly after? We think so. They simply have far too many fans in North America to end the “Gloria” Tour without paying them a visit. Smith fans, aka their Sailors, are eager to see the artist in concert after four years.

Sam Smith has embarked on promotional tours for both of their albums. But it should also be taken into consideration that Smith has spoken out about how touring has negatively affected their life. Will Sam Smith Tour the U.S in 2023? Could they announce their upcoming U.S tour as soon as next month?

Stay tuned. We think Sam Smith will announce U.S concert dates even sooner than next month. We anticipate they will release “Gloria” Tour dates in North America before Thanksgiving. Check back with us before the end of the month. You don’t want to miss when Sam Smith tickets finally go on sale.
