Fenway Park History and Overview

Fenway Park is located at 4 Yawkey Way in Boston, Massachusetts. The 37,731-person capacity stadium has been the home of the Boston Red Sox since it opened in 1912, making it the oldest and smallest ballpark in Major League Baseball (MLB).

Its most unique feature, the wall lovingly dubbed the Green Monster in left field, has prevented its fair share of home runs.

Boston Red Sox Seat Numbers

The Fenway Park seating chart with seat numbers follows the standard venue seat number logic: seat number 1 will always be closest to the lower-number section adjacent to it.

For example, seat number 1 in Grandstand 8 will be closest to the highest seat number in Grandstand 7, and the highest seat number in Grandstand 8 will be adjacent to seat 1 in Grandstand 9.

Boston Red Sox Best Seats

The atmosphere at Fenway Park is unlike any in baseball, and most Sox fans are happy with any seat. That said, the best seats for a Red Sox game are field-level behind home plate or by one of the team dugouts. If you can score seats on the Green Monster, you shouldn’t pass that up, as it provides fans with a unique experience and perspective.

Seats in the Loge sections along the baselines are also fine options. If you want to be rowdy at a Sox game, the Bleachers at Fenway Park are the best place.

Boston Red Sox Field and Lodge Level Seating

Field box seats at Fenway Park include sections 9-16, 71-82, and odd-numbered sections from 17-69. The Field level also includes sections 60, 44, and 30. Field-level seats are the closest to the field but do not offer any other amenities. The Loge Level is directly behind the Field Level and includes sections 98-165.

Boston Red Sox Club Seats

The Boston Red Sox and Fenway Park offer a few premium seating options. The EMC Club tickets are located behind home plate above the Grandstand, and the EMC Club itself is on the lower level behind home plate. The EMC Club offers a fine dining experience complemented by three full-service bars.

The State Street Pavilion Club Seats are above the EMC Club seats and wrap around the infield. They include wait service and access to a dining option unavailable to standard ticket holders.

Boston Red Sox Dugout and Bullpen Locations

The Boston Red Sox Dugout is in front of sections 21-28, and the visitors’ dugout is in front of sections 62-69. The Red Sox bullpen is in front of sections 40-41, and the visitors’ bullpen is in front of sections 42-43.

Boston Red Sox Obstructed Seats

Fenway Park is the oldest stadium in the Majors, and as a result, several seats will be marked as obstructed views. These seats are positioned behind pillars that hold the upper-level sections and will be marked obstructed view in the ticket listing.

We do not advise purchasing these types of tickets, as you cannot see anything in most of these seats.

Boston Red Sox Green Monster Tickets

Tickets atop the Green Monster at Fenway Park are among the most coveted seats for any sporting event. Marked by sections M1-M10, these are some of the most coveted seats at Fenway.

Witnessing a home run come at and over you while atop the Green Monster is one of the most unique experiences in the MLB.

Boston Red Sox Shaded Seats

The Grandstand sections are a great option if you want to catch a Red Sox game and avoid the sun. Grandstand Seating wraps around most of Fenway and includes sections 1-33 above the Loge Sections. These seats protect you from the sun and dry in the rain.

Covered Seating at Fenway Park

It can get hot and humid in the summer when you’re outside at the ballpark. Keep reading if you’re looking for some shaded areas of Fenway Park.

There are covered seats in the Infield Grandstand sections on the lower level, behind home plate or on the 3rd base side of the ballpark, and farther back in one of those same sections or in a covered row.

The outfield bleachers, also known as sections BL34- BL43, have the least covered seats. Avoid these seats if you prefer not to be fully exposed to the sun.

ADA Seating at Fenway Park

Here is some important information for those who need wheelchair access and/or those looking to attend a game at Fenway Park with somebody who does. If you’re seeking ADA seating, you’ll find accessible rows at the top of most sections throughout the ballpark.

If necessary, folding chairs will be provided for guests, such as those looking to sit with a fan who uses a wheelchair. One trick you can use to filter tickets that are ADA accessible is to use our “Additional filters +” button on the event page, which allows you to select “ADA (wheelchair accessible). ” This shows all seats that the seller has marked as wheelchair accessible.

Parking at Fenway Park

Three official parking lots are designated for use during evening and weekend games near Fenway Park.

It is strongly recommended that attendees purchase parking in advance, as it is limited. On the day of the game, very few spaces are generally available on a first-come, first-served basis.
