Broncos vs. Colts – A Dream Second Round Matchup

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos can potentially play host to Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts in second round of the playoffs. If the Colts knock off the 5th seeded Kansas City Chiefs (who they beat in week 16 handly), and the Cincinnati Bengals take care of business against the San Diego Chargers, football fans will be blessed with this incredible match-up. Peyton Manning, the former face of the Colts franchise for over a decade, playing against his former team and successor in Andrew Luck. Hollywood would be hard pressed to script this more perfectly if this game comes to fruition.

In Peyton’s first meeting against his former team in Lucas Oil Stadium, Andrew Luck got the best of him, leading the Colts to a 39-33 win. Manning and the Broncos are the favorites to reach the Super Bowl, but having to go through Luck and the Colts makes for an incredible narrative. Manning set both the single season passing touchdowns and yards records this year, but Luck has set plenty of records himself in his young career. Most notably Luck has tallied the most passing yards through two seasons, as well as most game winning drives in a rookie season with 7.

Would Luck derail Peyton Manning and Broncos from reaching the Super Bowl, or would Peyton prevail over his former team en route to his second Super Bowl championship? Lets hope we find out.
