
Derrick Rose, Paul Pierce Turn Back the Clock with Buzzer Beaters
It’s been a crazy week in the NBA Playoffs. From road underdogs stealing victories from the hometown favorites to the return of LeBron James’ headband and a masked Mike Conley, it was a week full of surprises.
In recent days, it’s been a couple of former All-Stars recapturing some of their past glory with buzzer-beating jump shots.
Still reeling from the loss of star point-man John Wall to a fractured hand, the Washington Wizards looked to be headed for trouble in their Game 3 match-up with the top-seeded Atlanta Hawks.
Enter longtime playoff hero Paul Pierce.
With the score level at 101, the former Boston Celtics star connected on a fallaway jumper to secure a two-to-one series lead for the Wizards

Not to be outdone, former NBA MVP Derrick Rose found himself with the ball and a chance to take the series lead over LBJ and the Cavs in the closing seconds of their Game 3.
Needless to say, the bank was open for D-Rose
