On Thursday (July 26th), Miguel surprised fans by dropping a new single, while teasing that new music is on the way. The contagious “Python” arrives just a month ahead of Miguel’s upcoming, 26-date North American tour. Check out “Python” below.

The funk-driven “Python” is an instant classic within Miguel’s discography. Sexy, psychedelic, and full of Miguel’s crooning R&B vocals, the artist’s latest single is a promising start to the release of new material. Which, according to Miguel, will be performed over his “Ascension” North American Tour.

Miguel will begin his “Ascension” North American Tour on August 23rd in Boston, Massachusetts at Blue Hills Bank Pavillion. He will make his way westward before wrapping up September 28th in Seattle. DVSN will serve as special guest for the entirety of the Ascension tour.

Fans can expect to hear new music from Miguel, whose last album was 2017’s War and Leisure. “Playing new music on the Ascension tour. This one’s called ‘Python,’” he wrote in the track’s description.
