How to Send and Receive Mobile Transfer Tickets

The ticketing industry has evolved plenty in recent years, but perhaps in no greater way than how most venues around North America are delivering tickets for live events.

Mobile transfer tickets have become the primary delivery method for leagues like the NFL and MLB, as well as the NBA and NHL. This shift has resulted in a decline in the availability of printable PDF tickets, particularly among NFL and MLB teams that have transitioned to mobile-only tickets.

It’s also a popular method for most major concert tours and theater shows.

Getting or receiving your mobile transfer tickets is simple. Most of these mobile tickets will be coming from the original vendor, which in most cases will be Ticketmaster.

The MLB, however, utilizes its own ticketing platform, called the MLB Ballpark App, for many of its mobile tickets, although the process is generally the same.

Steps to Receive Your Mobile Tickets

Step 1

Open the email you used to purchase the mobile tickets. You should see an email from the team or the venue’s ticketing platform notifying you that your tickets have been sent.

Step 2

Within this transfer email, you should find a section labeled “Accept Tickets” or a similar option that allows you to accept the transfer offer from the person who sent you the tickets.

Step 3

Click on the Accept Tickets button. This will direct you to the next page, where you will be prompted to log in to your account.

Step 4

Log in to your account or register for one if you don’t already have an account with the same email address you used to purchase the tickets.

Once you have an account with the team or venue’s ticketing platform, you can view your tickets within your account. From this point on, you can transfer those tickets to another person via the mobile delivery platform.
