Jay-Z & Coldplay Concert Just Announced
Yesterday, Jay-Z and Coldplay both announced on their websites that they would be co-headlining a New Year’s Eve concert at Barclays Center on December 31. This will be their second NYE show together – the first was in 2010 in Las Vegas – and it marks Coldplay’s first New York City show since September 2005.
Jay-Z took the stage at Barclays earlier in the year to eight sold-out shows and rave reviews. It’s obviously an understatement to say that he feels at home in the new Brooklyn venue. It doesn’t hurt that he and Chris Martin (lead singer of Coldplay) are long-time collaborators and best friends forever, either. With equal stage time and what is sure to be many epic duets, this concert is not to be missed. Maybe Brooklyn will have heavier crowds than Times Square this year…?
Tickets for the Jay-Z/Coldplay show go on sale on Saturday, November 17 at 10am. Don’t miss out on the hottest party of the year!
