Grammy-nominated pop rock band Matchbox Twenty have just announced a major 2020 North American tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their critically acclaimed debut album, Yourself or Someone Like You. The band that’s fronted by noted musician Rob Thomas, who’s transitioned into a successful solo career over the years, will begin this tour on July 17th in Bethlehem, PA and continue through September 28th in Los Angeles, CA

Joining Matchbox Twenty on this tour as the opening act will be fellow ’90s band The Wallflowers, of hit single “One Headlight” fame.

We expect tickets for these shows to be in major demand due to the very loyal and large fan base Matchbox Twenty has earned over the years through major hit songs like “Push” and “3AM,” which begs the question: when do Matchbox Twenty tickets go on sale and how can you get cheap tickets?

When Do Matchbox Twenty Tickets Go On Sale and What are the Presale Codes?

The on-sale date for the general public begins on Friday, January 17th at 10 am local time. If you go this route, we recommend reading up on how to quickly buy tickets on Ticketmaster.

If you’re looking to get tickets ahead of that date to get an early start on the market, you can use the following presales and codes that we’ve found below:

  • Fan Club, VIP, and and Platinum Package presales will begin on Tuesday, January 14th at 10 am EST.
  • A Citi Cardmember presale will begin on Wednesday, January 15th at 10 am local time. The presale code will be 412800, and you’ll need a Citi card in order to complete your purchase.
  • Local Venue, Ticketmaster, LiveNation, and LiveNation Mobile App presales will begin on Thursday, January 16th at 10 am local time. The LiveNation presale code will be MEMORIES, while the Mobile App presale code will be COVERT.

We always recommend following artists and the local venue’s social media pages and signing up for their newsletters in order to get the most up-to-date information, though be aware that presales and ticket release dates may vary and are subject to change.

Are There Any Purchase Limits for Matchbox Twenty Tickets?

There is a six (6) ticket limit for presales. There is an eight (8) ticket limit for the public on sale. Failure to adhere to these limits or exceeding these limits while purchasing tickets through these presales can put your orders at risk of getting cancelled by the venues and/or TicketMaster.

How to Get Sold Out Matchbox Twenty Tickets

If you weren’t able to secure tickets through any presales or general sales for Matchbox Twenty, don’t worry, you’re not alone. Tickets can still be purchased from secondary marketplaces, although the prices will not be at face value. When an established band like Matchbox Twenty announces a tour, prices are anticipated to be on the higher side, but that doesn’t mean that good deals can’t be had – if you know where to look.
