Miranda Lambert Announces Platinum Tour | Tour Dates, Sweepstakes, and More
Miranda Lambert has just announced a Platinum tour in promotion of her upcoming album of the same name. But wait, there’s more platinum. There is so much more platinum. “Platinum represents a lifestyle for me,” Lambert said. “It’s the color of my hair, my wedding ring, my airstream trailer, so it’s just a natural fit for the name of my new album and it’s why we decided to name the tour Platinum too.”
To go along with her platinum theme, Lambert will be traveling nationwide in her platinum airstream trailer, which she fondly calls Wanda the Wanderer. Wanda the Wanderer will be dressed for the occasion with a 6-foot-wide, 3-foot-tall aluminum crown, complete with crystals. Before her official Platinum Tour, she’ll be having a 10-day mini tour called Platinum Across America. For this tour, fans will be selected in a sweepstakes to attend pre-release listening sessions via Lambert’s online community and country radio. Even if you are not picked, you will still be invited to attend the Platinum Park festivities that include a platinum hair station, sun tea stand, cornhole, leather workshop, vintage postcard photo ops and more. Lambert fans, be warned: you will never look at platinum the same again.
Platinum, which will mark the country queen’s fifth studio album, is due out June 3 on RCA Records Nashville. For the Platinum Across America Tour, Lambert is headed to seven cities, starting with Los Angeles May 20. As for the official Platinum Tour, the summer excursion launches July 10 in Fort Loramie, Ohio. Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett support Aug. 8 through Sept. 13.
