Orpheum Theatre Seating Chart with Row & Seat Numbers

Unlike most Broadway theatres, Orpheum has four sections in the Orchestra, Loge, and Mezzanine levels. Normally, you’ll see three sections – left, middle, and right. This makes seat numbers in the center sections much more important, as the true center of the stage is an aisle splitting the section in two.

As a general rule of thumb in the Orpheum Theatre, the lower the seat number, the better, as seat numbers in the 100s will put you in the center sections, and seat numbers in the 10s will put you in the side sections.

Orchestra Seating at the Orpheum Theatre

Generally speaking, the Orchestra has the most desirable seats in the theatre, especially in the center sections. We’ve also received feedback that the orchestra sides still provide good views of the stage. However, if you’re looking for the best seats at the Orpheum Theatre, you’ll find them in rows D-L in the center orchestra, which are the perfect distance from the stage.

Unfortunately, the box office doesn’t label their tickets with great detail. They either say “Center Orchestra” or “Orchestra,” which can sometimes be misleading. If you buy tickets listed as “Orchestra,” that means they’ll be on the side. If you only want to be in the center, make sure that you’re only looking at tickets that are labeled “Center Orchestra!“

Loge and Mezzanine Seating at the Orpheum Theatre

The loge and mezzanine sections at the Orpheum Theatre are actually on the same level. The Loge is considered to be in the first three rows of the section (A-C) and the following nine rows (D-L) are considered the Mezzanine.

If you’re deciding between a Side Orchestra seat or a Center Loge seat, I would go with the Loge. It’s more important to be center, and the Loge section hangs over the Orchestra about 2/3 of the way back, so you still aren’t all that far from the stage.

Balcony Seating at the Orpheum Theatre

The Balcony is the highest level of seating at the Orpheum Theatre, and it’s significantly higher than the Loge/Mezzanine level. There are only five rows of seats on this level, and it’s the least-desirable area of the theatre, but it also offers the cheapest prices. Check out the picture below to get an idea of the height of the Balcony section.

Legroom In The Orpheum Theatre

Like most theatres, the seats inside the Orpheum are tight and with little legroom. If you’re on the taller side, we recommend sitting as close to the aisle as possible, as that will afford more legroom. We have also received feedback that the Orchestra seats have the most legroom, follow by Loge, Mezzanine, and Balcony. So if legroom is very important to you, we’d avoid sitting up in the Balcony area.

Obstructed View Seating at Orpheum Theatre

The seats on the far edges of the theatre – usually seats in the high 20’s – may be obstructed or partially obstructed, and it’s up to the Orpheum Theatre to mark these tickets as such. Any listing that you see on TickPick will include a note if there are any obstructions, so be sure to pay attention to that when purchasing tickets.

Handicapped & ADA Seating at Orpheum Theatre

For those who are confined to a wheelchair and/or those looking to attend an event at Orpheum Theatre with somebody who is, there is some important information that you’ll want to know. If you’re seeking ADA or handicapped seating, you’ll usually find that there are accessible rows at the top of the lower levels of the venue. If necessary, folding chairs will be provided for guests, such as ones looking to sit with a fan confined to a wheelchair.
