Petco Park History and Overview
Petco Park is situated in downtown San Diego, at 19 Tony Gwynn Drive, and is home to the San Diego Padres. Petco Park opened for the 2004 season, replacing the old Jack Murphy/Qualcomm Stadium.
Petco Park has a capacity of 42,524 for Padres games. Keep reading for a .
Petco Park Seat Numbers
The Petco Park seating chart with seat numbers indicates that seat 1 is typically located closer to the lower-numbered adjacent section. For example, seat 1 in section 118 would be closest to the highest numbered seat in section 116 (since sections are numbered in even and odd sequences).
Typically, the best seats are closer to the home plate. Going by that logic, if you’re on the left-field line, you’d want a seat with a lower seat number, and on the right-field line, you’d look for a higher seat number. (So remember, don’t think of seat and row numbers as the same thing.)
