Seat Numbers: You’re gonna find between 20 and 40 seats per row in the shoreline amphitheatre. Rows 1-5 in sections 101, 102, and 103 are the exception, they have 5 – 10.

Seat 1 is always closest to the section next to yours that is lower numbered. For example, seat 1 in section 201 would be next to section 200, not section 202. That would be seat 40 or so.

Where to Sit: This means that if you’re in sections 102 or 202 you’ll want a middle numbered seat number to get a seat closest to the center. In 102 this means seat 2 – 7 in the front few rows and seat 12 – 20 in the back. Throughout section 202, you’ll want a seat around 20 to end up in the center.

If you’re goal is to sit in the center in any of the other sections, you’ll want an aisle seat. That means for sections 101, 200, or 201 you’ll want to pick a high numbered seat. That means, at minimum, seat number 10.

If you’re looking for seats in the remaining sections, 103, 203, and 204 you’ll want a seat closer to 1. 1 would be ideal, but if you can manage a seat numbered 10, at highest, your tickets are still great.

The Lawn: One of the biggest perks to the Shoreline Amphitheatre is the Lawn. Bring a waterproof blanket and some food and drinks and enjoy watching a concert from a relatively short distance.

Some helpful hints and tips to remember when sitting in the Lawn at the Shoreline Amphitheatre: Bring short backed chairs! I cannot tell you how many people I’ve seen get asked to check there chair in at the Shoreline Amphitheatre. The venue polices this more closely than anything else. They don’t want people showing up with a beach chair that eclipses the view of 35 people behind them, so although this seems a little harsh I really can’t blame the people over at the Shoreline. Next off, it does get crowded. Usually it seems like they double book the lawn for big name acts. That makes for an awesome time if you’re looking for it, but can ruin your experience if you’re looking for a quieter time. Last and not least, get there early. The lawn is a General Admission area, which means it’s first come first serve. If you’d like seats closer to the stage, claim your territory early on in the evening with a large picnic blanket.
