Globe Life Field Overview

Globe Life Field (not to be confused with Globe Life Park) is the new home of the Texas Rangers as of the 2020 MLB season. Located right next to the Rangers’ former ballpark, Globe Life Park, the new stadium is a retractable-roof venue with a capacity of 40,000 that should help alleviate some of the issues fans and players alike have with bearing the brutal Texas summers. The park is being built in conjunction with Texas Live!, a massive entertainment complex that includes retail stores, clubs, restaurants, a convention center, a hotel, and a courtyard.

One of the stadium highlights is the massive 58′ x 150′ videoboard in right field that will make for a unique viewing experience that will allow everyone to see replays when needed.

Best Seats for Texas Rangers Games

The best seats for a Rangers game at Globe Life Field would typically be as close to home plate as possible. Most fans would prefer this to give the best perspective of the whole field, and sitting up higher like in Sections 314-315 in the uppers offer a more affordable trip to the ballpark than seats behind home plate in the field level sections, which can get very pricey.

Shaded Seats for Texas Rangers

While this information isn’t yet available until fans are allowed inside of the park, the retractable roof provides protections from the sunny elements and allow for a climate-controlled environment with air conditioning.

Globe Life Field Parking

There are plenty of parking options at Globe Life Field, with complimentary parking available in Tundra Lot B until 3:00 pm, and a cost of $20 to park on game days. For more information, you can check out their parking lot map.

Handicapped and ADA Seating at Globe Life Field

For those who are confined to a wheelchair and/or those looking to attend a game at Globe Life Field with somebody who is, there is some important information that you’ll want to know. If you’re seeking ADA or handicapped seating, you’ll find that there are accessible rows at the top of most sections within the ballpark and spread throughout. If necessary, folding chairs will be provided with guests, such as ones looking to sit with a fan confined to a wheelchair. One trick you can use to filter tickets that are handicapped or ADA accessible is by using our “Additional filters +” button on the event page that allow you to select “ADA (wheelchair accessible),” which shows all seats that the seller has marked as handicapped seating.
