Hollywood Bowl Pool Circle Seating

The Pool Circle Seating at the Hollywood Bowl is the closest seat to the stage. For mainstream concerts, this section typically has 7 rows of folding chairs. If you’re attending an LA Philanthropic event, the Pool Circle is set up with boxes similar to those found in Garden and Terrace Boxes (more on that later). If the box is set up, you’ll enjoy a more upscale menu compared to the rest of the venue.

There is a semi-circle stage that wraps behind the Pool Circle and in front of the Garden Boxes, which performers will occasionally use during their performances. This is something to keep in mind when purchasing tickets.

Hollywood Bowl Garden Boxes

The Garden Boxes at the Hollywood Bowl are second only to the Pool Circle seats as far as proximity to the stage is concerned. In general, the boxes offer a unique experience. You and your friends get your own private space to enjoy dinner, drinks, and the show.

The box seats contain four or six canvas collapsible chairs (in rare cases, three or five) surrounded by recently renovated wooden dividers. Each box will have one or two tables that you can set up as you please, but most people place one at each end of the box.

The tables fold up easily back into position, so once the show starts, you can rearrange the seats so that everyone is facing the stage.

It is worth noting that when purchasing box tickets on the secondary market, you may only need two seats (or that may be all that is available for a particular box). This means you will be sharing this intimate space with other concertgoers, so keep that in mind.

Hollywood Bowl Terrace Boxes

The Terrace Boxes at the Hollywood Bowl are positioned behind the Garden Boxes. They share the same general layout. Sitting in the boxes isn’t your typical concert experience, as you’re allowed to bring your own food and drink. Additionally, each box features a wine bottle holder.

Some people go all out, bringing tablecloths and serving serious wine and cheese spreads. Others won’t receive anything, so it’s really up to you. However, if you’re only interested in the music, it probably isn’t worth paying extra for one of these boxes, as the bench seats are sufficient.

Hollywood Bowl Super Seats

Aside from the Boxes, the Super Seats are the best seats at the Hollywood Bowl. It isn’t the view that sets these seats apart as much as the actual seats, which are padded with seat backs.

The location is excellent as well, though, as you are positioned right in the center of the bowl.

Hollywood Bowl Bench Seats

The sections that haven’t already been discussed in detail are all wooden bench seating (Sections E-X2). These seats do have backs, though, which is a big plus.

ADA Seating at Hollywood Bowl

For those using a wheelchair and/or those looking to attend an event at the Hollywood Bowl with someone who uses one, keep reading. If you’re seeking ADA seating, you’ll find accessible rows at the top of most sections throughout the ballpark.

As needed, folding chairs are provided to guests, such as those sitting with a fan who uses a wheelchair. One trick you can use to filter tickets that are ADA accessible is with our “Additional filters +” button on the event page. It allows you to select “ADA (wheelchair accessible),” which shows all seats that the seller has marked as accessible seating.
