Detailed Hollywood Bowl Seating Chart with Rows and Seat Numbers

Hollywood Bowl Seat Guide

It’s important to note that the Hollywood Bowl seat numbers are not consecutive, but rather are broken up between even-numbered seats odd-numbered seats. So don’t panic when you receive your seats and they aren’t consecutive seat numbers, because they are in fact together.

Hollywood Bowl Pool Circle Seating

The Pool Circle Seating at the Hollywood Bowl are the closest seats to the stage. For mainstream concerts, this section normally has 7 rows of folding chairs. If you’re attending a LA Philanthropic event, the Pool Circle will be set up with boxes similar to what you’ll find in Garden and Terrace Boxes (more on that later). If the box is set up, you’ll enjoy a more upscale menu compared to the rest of the venue.

There is a semi-circle stage that wraps behind the Pool Circle and in front of Garden Boxes that performers will occasionally use during their performances, so that’s something to keep in mind when purchasing tickets.

Hollywood Bowl Garden BoxesGarden Box Layout Hollywood Bowl

The Garden Boxes at the Hollywood Bowl are second only to the Pool Circle seats as far as proximity to the stage is concerned. In general, the boxes provide you with a unique experience as you and your friends will have your own private space to enjoy dinner, drinks, and of course, the show.

The box seats contain either four or six canvas collapsible chairs (in rare cases, three or five) which are surrounded by recently-renovated wooden dividers. Each box will have one or two tables that you can set up as you please, but most people put one on each end of the box.

The tables fold up easily back into position, so once the show starts, you can rearrange the seats so that everyone is facing the stage.

Now, it should be mentioned that when you’re buying box tickets on the secondary market, you may only need two seats (or that may be all that is available for a certain box). This means that you will be sharing this intimate space with other concert goers, so keep that in mind. For seat views from each Garden Box, check out Hollywood Bowl Tips which has a ton.

Hollywood Bowl Terrace Boxes

The Terrace Boxes at the Hollywood Bowl are positioned behind the Garden Boxes, and they share the same general layout. Sitting in the boxes is not your typical concert experience, as you are able to bring your own food and drink, with each box having a wine bottle holder as well.

Some people will go all out and bring table cloths with some serious wine and cheese spreads. Others won’t bring anything, so it really is totally up to you. But if you are just going for the music it probably isn’t worth paying extra to have one of these boxes, as the bench seats will do you just fine.

Hollywood Bowl Super Seats

Aside from the Boxes, the Super Seats are the best seats at the Hollywood Bowl. It isn’t the view that sets these seats apart as much as the actual seats, which are padded with seat backs. The location is great as well though, as you are positioned right in the center of the bowl.

Hollywood Bowl Bench Seats

The sections that haven’t already been discussed in details will all be wooden bench seating (Sections E-X2) . This seats do have backs to them though which is a big plus. You can check out the row breakdown for these section below with our Interactive Hollywood Bowl Seating Chart

These sections are rated by color, with Red being the least desirable and Blue or Yellow being the most (the stage is the black figure at the top of the seating chart, for reference). When looking for tickets to the Hollywood Bowl, TickPick grades each listing with our Score Report to show you which seats are the best deal.

Handicapped & ADA Seating at Hollywood Bowl

For those who are confined to a wheelchair and/or those looking to attend an event at Hollywood Bowl with somebody who is, there is some important information that you’ll want to know. If you’re seeking ADA or handicapped seating, you’ll find that there are accessible rows at the top of most sections within the ballpark and spread throughout. If necessary, folding chairs will be provided with guests, such as ones looking to sit with a fan confined to a wheelchair. One trick you can use to filter tickets that are handicapped or ADA accessible is by using our “Additional filters +” button on the event page that allow you to select “ADA (wheelchair accessible),” which shows all seats that the seller has marked as handicapped seating.

  1. You deserve a huge thank you for this! I am looking to attend a concert here so this a great help!!

If I may ask… I’m stuck between whether I ought to purchase Terrace or Garden Box tickets. I will spend the extra money if it means an amazing experience. I honestly don’t care too much about bringing food & such. I mainly want an awesome view that allows me to feel engulfed in the show.

I would hate to be so far back that I’m detached from the show, but also don’t want to be too close as to miss something.

    What you recommend?

    • Hi Sean – It depends how many tickets you need. If you are going with a group of four, I think it’s worth getting a Garden box that your group will have to yourselves.

If you just need two tickets the Terrace boxes will be close enough to the stage that you won’t fee detached from the show. Hope this helps!
