Branch of Military: United States Army

After graduating from college and spending a year working in finance, Joel decided to join the Army. He ended up in a reconnaissance unit in the 82nd Airborne Division where he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2008 to 2009. His favorite part about being in the Army was meeting people from so many different walks of life and with varied experiences. Despite these differences, Joel loved how everyone could come together to achieve a common goal.
