Many of you fans looking to get out to an event to see your favorite artist or team perform have noticed that ticket availability can seem extremely scarce, even when trying to use a ticket presale code that theoretically would put you ahead of the line compared to most other fans out there.

Ticketmaster – the original vendor for most major events around the country – implemented a Verified Fan program in 2018 that affords early access to fans while supposedly all but eliminating the ability of ticket brokers from using bots to buy up most inventory, giving fans a more fair shake when tickets go on sale. What is TicketMaster Verified Fan?

The Verified Fan Program is a way for Ticketmaster to make it harder for ticket brokers to get their hands on great tickets to major concerts and instead make it easier for the real music fan to get their tickets to these shows at face value. Many ticket brokers and agencies use programs like ticket bots that quickly purchase tickets before the average human would be able to put an order through.

Verified Fan presales limit all buyers (including ticket resellers) from buying more concert tickets from their Ticketmaster account than the predetermined limited amounts released by the venues and Ticketmaster.

How Do I Get Tickets With Ticketmaster Verified Fan?

Note that you have roughly two weeks to fill out the Ticketmaster Verified Fan sign-up form before the registration period closes, so be sure to sign up for the presale before that window has closed in order to be eligible to receive a presale code. Once you’ve completed your Verified Fan registration, please be sure to check your email for a confirmation email that should be sent by Ticketmaster that notifies a user that they’ve successfully registered.

If you’re lucky enough to receive a Verified Fan presale code, you should expect to receive a text message to the phone number you have on file within 24 hours of the presale date that will include a link to the checkout page so you can place your order.

What are the Verified Fan Ticket Limits?

Please be mindful of the ticket limit maximum per event, as if these maximums are exceeded, you run the risk of having any or all orders canceled and tickets revoked for that event. Most artists or events have limitations that prevent a user from purchasing anywhere from more than two (2) to eight (8) tickets. The nature of this program is to increase the number of tickets available to the fans and the actual general public who intend to use them, after all.

Does Getting a Verified Fan Code Guarantee Me Tickets?

Unfortunately, receiving an access code will NOT guarantee anything with regard to one’s ability to purchase a presale ticket for a Verified Fan event; however, those that do have access to the presale certainly stand a better chance than those who did not receive a code and will have to wait until the general on-sale date to try and secure tickets.

What if Verified Fan Tickets are Sold Out?
