The Super Bowl Halftime Show

The halftime show at the Super Bowl is one of the most anticipated ancillary events of the entire Super Bowl experience for fans. The theatrics surrounding the game itself and all of the festivities come to a head during the halftime show, where some of music’s most legendary names have graced the stage. From Janet Jackson’s “wardrobe malfunction” to incredible performances from acts like Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, and others, there’s always something fans are left talking about through the next day amidst conversations about the game itself, and of course, the commercials.

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez, or J-Lo, to which her massive fan base refers to her, is one of the world’s biggest pop stars, with an incredible array of hit songs like “Get Right,” “Waiting For Tonight,” “Jenny From The Block,” and countless others. She’s known as an incredible live performer dating all the way back to her days as one of In Living Color’s Fly Girls, and the execs who put on the halftime show are banking on her putting forth another excellent show that will dazzle the tens of millions watching on TV, as well as the tens of thousands being captivated in person at Hard Rock Stadium. If her incredibly successful It’s My Party tour from earlier in 2019 is any indication, there are no signs of her slowing down at 50.

Shakira

Joining J-Lo will be another Latina pop sensation in Shakira, the Colombian singer of “Hips Don’t Lie” and “Whenever, Wherever,” among other notable hits. One can probably expect incredible choreography as part of these two equally-talented dual singing and dancing threats. Which of her number of hits will be incorporated into an incredible medley? You’ll have to tune in to find out.

Who Will Be Joining Jennifer Lopez and Shakira?

While nothing is yet confirmed, it’s expected that artists like Enrique Iglesias and Mr. 305 himself, Pitbull, could contribute during the halftime show and really embrace the major Latin community in the Miami area with a lineup of some of the biggest names in Latin music’s illustrious history. Some even speculate that Lady Gaga could join in on the foray after she put on a spectacular show in Houston during Super Bowl LI.
