Drake Hosts Degrassi Reunion in “I’m Upset” Music Video

The new Drake music video for “I’m Upset”—a new track set to appear on Scorpion—already has over 4 Million views, after being online for only two full days. Besides Drake’s overwhelming popularity, the video was also boosted by its number of guest stars, specifically from Drake’s Degrassi alma mater.

Directed by recent Prism Prize winner Karena Evans (“God’s Plan,” “Nice For What”), the “I’m Upset” music video begins with Drake sleeping on a bed at the Raptors’ centre court at the ACC, while receiving a calendar reminder on his phone about a high school reunion. From there, Drake sets out in a gorgeous yellow Ferrari, his former, on-set best friend Shane Kippel (Spinner) riding passenger.

Besides Kippel, the video pulls together Stacey Farber, Adamo Ruggiero, Andrea Lewis, Lauren Collins, Melissa McIntyre, LinLyn Lue, Epstein, Christina Schmidt, Stefan Brogren, Ephraim Ellis, Jake Goldsbie, Marc Donato, Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith (cameos as pot dealers Jay and Silent Bob), and others. When Drake finally pulls up, its to celebrate a Degrassi Community School reunion, where mayhem predictably ensues. Check out the Degrassi-inspired “I’m Upset” visuals below.

Drake’s “I’m Upset” music video wasn’t the only big reveal Wednesday (June 13th) night. He also finally announced the release date for Scorpion, his fifth studio album, to be dropped on June 29. The last time Drake released an official LP—one that he didn’t hedge as a “playlist”—it spent 13 weeks atop the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Just this week, Drake announced 12 more dates for the “Aubrey and the Three Migos” tour, now a 41-date outing which will kick off July 26 in Salt Lake City, UT. The new “Aubrey and the Three Migos” Tour dates include shows in Denver, Detroit, New York, Montreal, Boston, Philadelphia, Houston, L.A., San Francisco, and Edmonton.
