Everything We Know About Megan Thee Stallion’s New Album

Megan Jovan Ruth Pete, aka Hot Girl Meg, aka Tina Snow, aka Megan Thee Stallion, has recently blessed us with yet another summer-hot single. Last Friday (July 22), Megan Thee Stallion dropped her Futureassisted “Pressurelicious,” a track that combines the two Southern rappers’ penchant for rowdiness. If you haven’t already, you must check out the pair’s sizzling new single “Pressurelicious,” below.

So far, “Pressurelicious” marks the first collaboration between Megan Thee Stallion and Future. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Megan Thee Stallion talked about the Atlanta rapper and her respect for him leading into their work together.

“He just so f*cking ratchet! He is unapologetically himself. I appreciate that about anybody who gets up and has to do anything in the public eye. Anybody who has to read about their life online every day and deal with so many energies and can put it out into their music and do it gracefully, I feel like you deserve your flowers.”

“Pressurelicious” is the fourth single Meg has dropped in 2022—if you count her chip-inspired single “Flamin’ Hottie,” and why wouldn’t you? We didn’t anticipate the Houston rapper to drop her Good News full album follow-up so soon. Especially not after she announced multiple world tours for 2022, including opening for Dua Lipa and her “Enter Thee Hottieverse” VR Tour.

But with the arrival of “Pressurelicious,” we think it’s finally a full-blown Hot Girl Summer and fans can start getting excited for Hot Girl Meg’s next record. Here is Everything We Know About Megan Thee Stallion’s New Album, and when we think Hot Girl Meg will be touring again.

When will Megan Thee Stallion release a new album?

Back in May, Megan told the inquiring media that her new album was “95% done.” Not long after came “Plan B” and its accompanying music video, a way for the artist to prove to her fans that when she says she’s nearly done with a project she has the finished tracks to prove it.

This, and the recent arrival of “Pressurelicious” with a cover we deem album worthy, leads us to believe that Megan Thee Stallion’s upcoming record is just around the corner. We think the Good News follow-up will be here before the end of the summer.

In order to remain optimistic about this prediction, we will have to see if Megan Thee Stallion drops another single within the next few weeks. But we think the odds of Thee Hotties having a whole new album to dig into soon, this month or next, are high.

Who will be featured on Megan Thee Stallion’s next record?

Besides Future, who else can Thee Hotties expect to find on Megan Thee Stallion’s new album? We know, from her Rolling Stone cover, that the new LP will feature some production from the famed mixer Murda Beatz.

We also know that in 2018 Megan Thee Stallion switched labels twice, finally landing with 300 Entertainment. Some of the label’s artists include fellow rappers Young Thug—who appeared on Good News—and Gunna. We wouldn’t be surprised if either, or both of them, make an appearance on Hot Girl Meg’s next drop.

Considering the chart-topping success of Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage (Remix)” with Beyonce, we wouldn’t be surprised if the superstars link up for a second time on either one—or both—of the artist’s upcoming LPs.

What sound is Hot Girl Meg going for on her next album?

From what we can gather from Megan Thee Stallion’s recent interviews, it sounds like her new album will have a wide range of sounds and emotions. Dealing with an inordinate amount of loss and betrayal in the time since Good News came out, Megan Thee Stallion has a lot to process on her forthcoming LP.

There are hard-hitting tracks, such as “Pressurelicious” featuring Future and the explosive diss track “Plan B.” There’s the dance driven “Gift and Curse,” a song which reminded Megan, while finishing up the album, that people really just want to go out and have a good time. Then, there’s the more sentimental and slow, grief-laden “Anxiety” that allows Megan to express some resolve towards her mother and her mother’s career over a simple beat.

When it comes to a singular sound, there isn’t one Megan Thee Stallion is attempting to tackle on her next record. Instead, she’s giving the gamut of what it’s like to be Megan these days. A raw and unfiltered reality of all the good, the fun, and the evil, fame can bring.

When will Megan Thee Stallion tour her new album?

Right now, Megan Thee Stallion is still finishing up her act on the “Future Nostalgia” world tour with Dua Lipa. Additionally, Megan Thee Stallion still has “Enter Thee Hottieverse” VR concerts to host around the country. Megan’s next VR concert will take place August 5-6 in Torrance, CA. Meanwhile, her next in-person performance will be a set at the Hard Summer Music Festival in San Bernardino, CA.

The final “Enter Thee Hottieverse” VR concert will take place in D.C in early September. Then, Megan is scheduled to perform music festivals in Germany and Brazil. After September 11, Megan Thee Stallion’s scheduled tour dates are officially over, leaving her open for three more months in 2022.

Unfortunately, we don’t think Megan Thee Stallion will spend those three months touring her new album. But we do think Hot Girl Meg will use this time to release her album and announce when fans can expect to hear it live. When will Megan Thee Stallion tour her new album?

We think Megan Thee Stallion could be on tour for her new album by January 2023, at the earliest. From what we can tell so far, the artist isn’t wasting any time with rolling out her new LP. We don’t think she’ll leave Thee Hotties hanging for much longer—it’s about to be yet another Hot Girl Summer.
