John Golden Theatre History and Overview
The John Golden Theatre opened in 1927. It was originally named the Theatre Masque and was designed by Herbert J. Krapp for the Chanin brothers. Later, in 1937, producer John Golden bought Theatre Masque and named it after himself.
Now, John Golden Theatre has a seating capacity of 787 and has hosted numerous shows over the years.
Best Seats at John Golden Theatre
The best seats at John Golden Theatre are in Center Orchestra even as far back as Row K. Also, Rows A and B in the Front Mezzanine are some of the best seats at the theatre that offer a view of the stage at a bit of a distance.
Best Seats On a Budget at John Golden Theatre
If you’re still hoping to get a good view without breaking the bank, consider sitting in the Rear Mezzanine or Row D in the Front Mezzanine. Also, further back in the Orchestra offers a good view. Because this venue is small, there aren’t a lot of bad seats in the theater at all.
Obstructed Seats at John Golden Theatre
To avoid obstructed seats, we recommend buying a ticket for the upper middle section of the orchestra. These premium seats have an unobstructed view of the entire stage. However, if this is the first show you have ever attended on Broadway and you’re nervous about money, try a mezzanine seat instead. When you purchase Broadway musical tickets through a reputable site like TickPick, the seller is required to disclose information about your ticket.
For example, if the ticket is for a seat with a limited or obstructed view, you are informed before completing your purchase.
Accessible Seating at John Golden Theatre
There is accessible seating in the Orchestra without any steps. The only wheelchair seating at John Golden Theatre is in the Orchestra, as well. In the Mezzanine, there are steps.
Also, the restrooms are not wheelchair accessible, but there are some next door at Milford Plaza Hotel.
