Lana Del Rey Releases New Single “Mariners Apartment Complex”

Lana Del Rey delivered a lovely and promising interview on Annie Mac’s BBC 1 Radio today (Sep. 12), which was buttressed by new music. “Mariners Apartment Complex“, produced by Jack Antonoff, features Del Rey’s lush vocals against a piano and guitar driven ballad.

Much like the rest of Lana Del Rey’s catalog, “Mariners Apartment Complex” is a layered tale of romantic longing, strung together with a contagious melody and Del Rey’s strong, feathered vocals. You can check out “Mariners Apartment Complex”, and its visuals, below.

The folky new track is set to appear on Lana Del Rey’s forthcoming, Jack Antonoff-produced LP. In her interview with BBC 1 Radio, Del Rey revealed that “Mariners Apartment Complex” will be one of two new tracks she releases this week, the other being nested within the lyrics of “Mariners Apartment Complex”—”Venice Bitch“. Though Del Rey and Antonoff are still in the studio, the new LP is slated for a 2019 release date.

“Venice Bitch,” the second single which was previously untitled, is set to arrive later this week, though there is no official release date. Del Rey is also at work on a book of poetry, which she plans to self-publish.
