Live Streaming Baseball Online | the MLB Network, TBS, and The Best Alternatives

March 27, 2013 by

You can’t find which channel your favorite MLB team is playing on, so you switch on ESPN for Baseball Scores.  Of course, ESPN doesn’t have the baseball scores you’re looking for and all you want to do is watch the game.  Where do you go?  TBS online Streaming? MLB Network Live Streaming?

First of all, the best decision would be to make it out to a game.  It’s cheap, and a completely different experience than sitting home on the couch, like every other night.  The grass, the fresh air — nothing beats a day at the ballpark.

Still want to Live Stream the ball game on your nearest computer or smart phone? Then let me break down a few of the major options and common misconceptions out there.

MLB.tv costs money.  Plain and simple.  It’s $20 a month, or over $120 for the season. This package is not for the average fan, it’s strictly for the diehards out there. If you don’t plan on watching at least a game a day, this package is probably not worth it. A number of the online forums that discuss mlb.tv revolve around gambling.

Espn’s live streaming service, EspnGO, covers the NBA, some college sports, and the Barclays Premier League, but ESPN doesn’t have the rights to stream MLB games.

TBS’s Official online live streaming does not actually exist. Their is no service offered by the TBS that allows you to get MLB Games on your computer for free. The first link on Google when searching for “tbs mlb streaming live” is for stream2watch.com, a third party, unlicensed distributor of the MLB. It’s a p2p streaming website — the type that typically gives your computer a virus.

The same goes for tons of other websites out there that offer ‘free live mlb streaming’. You may think that they’re great, but in reality, a number of these website target your computer with malicious virus’s. Granted, there are websites that aren’t there to harm your computer, do you really want to take that gamble?

Disclaimer: these are those websites.  Check them out if you really want to watch the games.  ATDHE.net, channelsurfing.net, justin.tv, http://www.vipbox.tv/sports/baseball.html, and http://www.time4tv.com/2011/09/mlb-network.html are a few of the most popular options for streaming the MLB live.
