The Lion King Obstructed View Seats

The first few rows in the Minskoff Theatre are dangerously close to the stage. Lion King obstructed view seats are present in the first half dozen or so rows. The closer you get to the sides, the farther back the partial view seats are located.

Take a look at the Minskoff Theatre Seating Map above. Anything in yellow at the top of the seating chart is likely to be obstructed.  That doesn’t mean that all yellow sections are obstructed, but beware of seats in the yellow regions closest to the stage.

Minskoff Theatre Overhangs

The Lion King is a grand spectacle. Much as expected, Disney went all out for this one and rented out one of the largest theatres on Broadway for its production of The Lion King. The only problem with large Theatres, such as Wicked’s Gershwin Theatre, is that they can sometimes supply the patrons in the way back with some damn far seats.

Fortunately for all you Lion King aficionados out there, the Minskoff Theatre stacks itself pretty nicely, leaving even those in row L of the Mezzanine all the way in the back with some pretty solid views. And don’t worry, even with all the high-flying acrobatics in The Lion King, the orchestra doesn’t miss a beat. Sometimes overhangs can block the sightlines of people sitting deep below them, but at Minskoff Theatre, even row ZZ keeps a steady eye on Mufasa the whole time.

The Best Minskoff Theatre Seat Deals

  • Lottery Policy:
  • There is a digital lottery at the Minskoff that you can enter by visiting lionking.com/lottery. If you win, you will only pay $30 per ticket (with a maximum of 2 tickets).
