Davis Wade Stadium History

Davis Wade Stadium was built in 1914 as a replacement for Hardy Field. It was originally called New Athletic Field. Then, in 2002, donor, Floyd Davis Wade, helped fund a $30 million renovation and expansion project that resulted in the stadium’s rename. It’s now known as Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field with a seating capacity of 61,337.

The Mississippi State sideline is in front of sections 03 through 05. The visitor Sideline is in front of sections 19 through 22.

Davis Wade Stadium Club Seats

Floyd Wade Club

Located behind the lower level of sections 17-25 on the visitor side of the field, the Floyd Wade Club offers some of the best views for football games. Ticketholders gain access to the lounge area with private restrooms, TVs, and individual lockers. All sets include chairbacks and all-inclusive food and drink.

Scoreboard Club

The Scoreboard Club is an exclusive seating area on the North side of the Davis Wade Stadium. The seats don’t have as good views as others, but they do have the best views of the large videoboard. Ticketholders here also have access to the indoor club lounge with HDTVs, private restrooms, catered food and beverage service, and locker service. Plus, all seats are cushioned chairbacks.

Visiting Team Fan Sections

If you’re rooting for the opposing team, this is for you. There are designated visiting team fan seating in sections 24 and 25 near the South Endzone on the visitor’s side of the field.

What Are The Best Seats at Davis Wade Stadium?

If you’re looking for a good view of the field, the best seats at David Wade Stadium are located in rows 25-32 in sections 03, 04, 05, and 19. These areas offer views of the entire field and the best views between the 20-yard lines. In addition, they’re close to the tunnel for easy access to concessions and bathrooms.

Tailgating at Mississippi State Bulldogs Games

Mississippi State tailgating is fairly casual and encouraged. As long as your car isn’t blocking traffic, tailgating is encouraged. The parking lots closest to the stadium are just for Bulldog Club members. Keep in mind that Lot 36 is the closest lot for paid public parking. There is also The Junction, MSU’s main tailgating experience. It’s located at the south end of Davis Wade Stadium and attracts tons of fans.

You can find accessible seating at Davis Wade Stadium on the West Side in sections 1, 6, and 7 and on the East Side in sections 24 and 25. You can also request specific accommodations by contacting the ticket office.
