P!nk Will Drop A New Album in April, First Single Out This Month

It’s been a huge week for P!nk. On Tuesday (Feb. 5) the “What About Us” singer received her place amongst the stars. The Hollywood Walk of Fame, that is. Now, beside stars dedicated to Jackie Chan and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, is just one of the many testaments to P!nk’s contribution to American culture.

A day later (Feb. 6), P!nk stopped by The Ellen Degeneres Show, but this time as a regular guest. The artist revealed that a new single is on the way. Titled “Walk Me Home” and set to be released Feb. 22, the new single led to even bigger news.

The follow-up to 2017’s Beautiful Trauma is already on the way. Actually, it’s almost here. P!nk’s eighth studio album will be titled Hurts 2B Humanand should be out sometime in April. Considering Beautiful Trauma garnished Grammy nods and resulted in one of her biggest tours to date, P!nk certainly has the juice and momentum beneath her to drop something incredible. P!nk even previewed some of it for Ellen.

Now that fans can expect a new P!nk album in 2019, it begs the question: Will P!nk perform the new album on her current Beautiful Trauma Tour? Considering P!nk’s hit-making history, we wouldn’t be surprised if the first singles from Hard 2B Human turn out to be chart-topping bangers. And if they are, fans will simply demand that they are incorporated into her forthcoming set lists.

Leading into this news, it sounds like P!nk is stronger than ever. Upon receiving her star, the artist spoke on behalf of her journey. “I have achieved exactly what I wanted to achieve. Because I always knew what my strong points were. I don’t sell sex, I don’t sell perfume, I’m not the prettiest, I’m not the best. I’m f–king hard-looking and I have enough talent and I work on my f–king craft and I put my head down and I win. And I charge and I charge and I charge. And I don’t give up. So when I wasn’t selling records, I was still selling out arenas. I didn’t need to win any popularity contests; I wanted to be a f–king touring artist and I wanted to be great at what I did. And at almost 40 years old, I can say I’m great at what I do,” she added.

Another possibility, considering her work ethic: P!nk embarks on a brand new, Hard 2B Human promotional tour. This could begin sometime in 2019, possibly in the Fall, after she can take a short break from touring Beautiful Trauma.

Either way, with a new album due out in April, we will be seeing—and hearing—a lot more of P!nk.
