Mackey Arena History and Overview

The Mackey Arena opened in 1967 and has a seating capacity of 14,240. It’s home to the Purdue Boilermakers men’s basketball team, Purdue University’s college basketball team. When it opened, it became the replacement for the former Lambert Fieldhouse. It’s located in Tippecanoe County, Indiana, and is considered a top-notch sports arena.

Mackey Arena Section Breakdown

The Purdue Boilermakers basketball arena is broken up into three sections: courtside and an additional two levels. It wraps around in a complete circle surrounding the court.

Purdue Boilermakers Student Section

The Purdue Boilermakers basketball student section is general admission seating and is located in sections 4, 5, 13, 14, 104-107, and 114-116. Section 14 is partial student seating. You can also become a member of Paint Crew, the official student membership for more perks and early entry.

Mackey Arena Club Seating

The John Purdue Club membership level and The Spurgeon Club are the premium club sections at Mackey Arena. Both of these require membership. More information is available on their official website.
